More than 700 medical staff from Henan Provincial People's Hospital (HPPH) spared no efforts to conduct nucleic acid tests for almost 400 thousand people, whether it was day or night during this blistering summer. Now, let's take a glimpse of those lovely and honorable figures!

In scorching summer, it is quite a challenge for those wearing a medical mask, a pair of googles and a thick protective suit, but for Zhang Xin, a nurse at the International Medical Center of HPPH, such a challenge is more difficult to overcome. Suffering from eczema, Zhang's skin is very sensitive. Therefore, the pain and itching caused by sweat made her restless. On the frontline of a nucleic acid testing site, Zhang dared not scratch it, and in fact, she did not have time to do so. Only when there were few people on site could she stretch her arms for a short break.

口罩、面罩、防护服……酷暑中“全副武装”对任何人来说都是艰巨挑战，而这份挑战在国际医疗中心护士张鑫的身上，甚至还要加倍！因为患有全身性湿疹，张鑫体表多有破损，皮肤非常敏感，汗液淌过的地方又疼又痒，让她坐立不安。在核酸检测一线岗位上，张鑫不敢用手抓，也没时间这样做，只能趁人少的时候，伸展胳膊吹吹风，让身体稍微舒服一点。

A nurse at Operating Room of HPPH surnamed Wang was also a member of the first batch of nucleic acid test team. On August 1, his group was sent to a testing site with the largest number of residents to be tested that day in Erqi district.

王朝辉是省医手术室的护士，也是首批核酸筛查工作队的成员。8月1日，他所在的小组被分到了二七区金河上郡核酸检测点，这是当天检测居民人数最多的小区。

 

At 3 am, all throat swabs were used up, but the waiting line seemed never ending. While waiting, some were getting impatient. Wang and his partners got an inspiration and decided to bring the "health science class" to the testing site, teaching seven-step hand-washing techniques to the children and sharing epidemic prevention and control tips with the waiting residents. Vivid demonstration and humorous explanation effectively soothed their anxieties, winning bursts of applause from time to time.

凌晨3点，随队带来的咽拭子全部用完，而等待检测的队伍依旧很长，在等待耗材调拨的半小时里，有群众出现了烦躁情绪，王朝辉和队友灵机一动，决定把健康科普教学，“搬到”核酸检测现场，教小朋友们学习七步洗手法，为群众讲解疫情防控知识。生动的演示、幽默的语言，有效抚慰了大家的焦虑，凌晨3点的核酸检测现场，不时响起阵阵掌声。

On that day, Wang and his partners totally collected more than 3,800 nucleic acid samples. He said, "I am so happy to play a part in the fight against COVID-19."

当日王朝辉所在小组累计完成3800多例核酸采集任务，王朝辉说，“能为战‘疫’尽一份力，特别开心！”

At 1 pm on August 2, it was the most sweltering time of the day. A medical team was taking nucleic acid samples from the local residents at the Jingwei Square in Jinshui district. Cao Yuandi, a nurse at the Department of Gerontology of HPPH, was also there. Cao had worked from 5 pm on August 1 to 2 am the next day. After a short break, it was her second work shift. In the scorching heat, Cao felt poorly, starting with a headache. At first, she thought it might be caused by the goggles and asked the crowd to wait for a moment so as to adjust her goggles.

8月2日13时，正是一天气温最高的时候，河南省人民医院老年医学科曹源地护士所在的小组，正在经纬广场为群众检测核酸。前一天，曹源地从17时工作到凌晨2点，和同事短暂换班休整后，这是她第二次上岗。酷暑高温下，曹源地越发感到身体不适，最开始是头疼，她以为是护目镜戴得太紧了，还让等待检测的群众稍等一下，想腾出手调整一下护目镜的位置。

It was diagnosed as heat stroke caused by excessive heat. The doctor asked her to have a good rest. Zhang Hongmei, director of the Nursing Department, was moved to tears when she visited Cao. Recovering from the heat stroke, Cao insisted on going back to the frontline. Being refused, she said, "I wish I could stay there with you all."

经过诊断，判断为“气温过高引起的中暑”。医生要求她好好休息，护理部张红梅主任在看望她时当场落泪。可恢复过来的她却坚持要求回到一线去，被拒绝后，她反复说：“多希望能陪大家战斗到底。”

8月1日23时，省医第二批新冠病毒核酸筛查工作队队员王晴晴，在核酸采集工作中遇到了暖心一刻。

 

Wang was dispatched to the testing site of Weiwu Road No. 2 Primary School, who lives just across the street, but she had not been home for 3 days, leaving her husband 2 children to look after. The children clamored for their mother and the husband worried about his wife, too. After making inquiries, her husband finally found where she was.

来自血管外科的她被分配到纬五路第二小学检测点执行任务，她的家就在检测点对面。虽然仅一街之隔，但她已经3天没有回家了，家里一对儿女无暇顾及，全交给丈夫照料，孩子们闹着想妈妈，丈夫心里也十分牵挂。王晴晴的老公多方打听，竟然准确找到了她所在的检测台。

"When I looked up, to my surprise, I found my husband coming here for a nucleic acid test!" Wang's husband's visit not only cheered her up, but also brought a relief to the children since the whole process was broadcast live for them with a mobile phone by her husband.

“我一抬头，发现进来做检测的竟然是我老公！”回忆到昨天这一幕，王晴晴依然很惊喜，王晴晴的爱人不仅给她加油鼓劲，还开着手机视频给孩子们全程直播。

On the afternoon of July 31, on hearing the news about the formation of nucleic acid test team, Li, who was off duty at the moment, immediately applied for participation since he had accumulated rich experience in fighting against COVID-19 in Hubei.

8月1日，暴雨中在地铁5号线逆行救人的护士李英豪成为核酸检测工作队的一员，7月31日下午，正在家休养的李英豪，听说医院正组建核酸检测工作队，有过援鄂抗疫经历的他立刻向科室申请返岗工作。

This time, Li was no longer alone for his wife Xu Han was also a member of the nucleic acid test team. Learning about the mass vaccination campaign, Xu and her husband picked up their phones almost at the same time to apply to work on the frontline. Xu said, "My husband and I had worked on the frontline of epidemic prevention and control. He had been to Wuhan and I had worked at the airport. We were just fulfilling our responsibilities and obligations as health care workers."

这次逆行出征，李英豪不再孤单，他的爱人徐涵也是核酸检测工作队的一员，当得知要开展全员核酸检测时，她几乎和丈夫同时拿起手机向科室请缨前往一线。徐涵说“英豪去过武汉，我也在机场排查工作过，都有抗疫一线工作经历。我们夫妻俩只是在做一名医护工作者应尽的责任和义务。”

刚刚脱下防护服和被汗水浸透的衣物，还没来得及更换，接到指令后，核医学科男护士陈战磊再次毫不犹豫地穿戴好防护用品，重新投入到采集工作中……

二七社区、大石桥社区，产科一病区护士刘阳、贾倩先后两次参加核酸采集，两天两夜的奋战中，她们仅休息了3个小时。

Hard as they were, their smiles shone brighter than the midday sun…They are the representatives of the countless dedicated medical staff in HPPH! "Thank you for your hard work" has moved many medical staff. Xu Yan, head nurse at the Oncology Center of HPPH, was responsible for the coordination of 7 testing sites in Huayuan Road community. Although she could communicate with each testing site through a WeChat work group, Xu was still worried. Throughout the night, she had visited the 7 testing sites twice by electric scooter, with each taking about 2 to 3 hours.

中心导管室护士司亮亮、马玉峰主动请缨值中午班，虽然极其辛苦，但他们的笑容比正午的阳光还要耀眼……他们是河南省人民医院无数坚守奉献的医护人员的代表！最感动的事是他们说“您辛苦了，谢谢你！”肿瘤中心科许妍护士长负责花园路社区，7个核酸采集点的整体协调，虽然建立了统一的工作群，可以通过微信随时沟通，但许妍还是不放心，整整一晚上，她骑着电动车在几个检测点，来回巡查了两遍，七个点走一遍就要两三个小时。
