Henan Has 1,521 Cultural Relics Protected at Provincial Level

At the fifth session of the "Embarking on a New Journey to Make Henan More Wonderful" news briefing series held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee on December 24, Tian Kai, head of Henan Cultural Relics Bureau, answered questions from journalists.

According to Tian Kai, the eighth batch of 351 key cultural relics protected at the provincial level has been identified by the People's Government of Henan Province recently, including 115 important historical places and representative buildings in modern times, 9 grotto temples and stone carvings, 128 ancient buildings, 78 ancient sites and 21 tombs in antiquity. So far, Henan has 1,521 cultural relics protected at the provincial level.

田凯介绍，近日，河南省政府核定了第八批河南省文物保护单位，共351处，包括近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑115处、石窟寺及石刻9处、古建筑128处、古遗址78处、古墓葬21处，另有5处与此前已核定公布的省保单位合并。自此，我省级文物保护单位达到1521处。（中文来源/大河网 记者/申华 播音/王家琦 王君艺 审校/陈行洁）
