Zhengzhou Airport Becomes One of the World's Top 40 Cargo Airports

年货运首次突破70万吨！郑州机场跻身全球货运机场40强

On the morning of December 30, fully loaded with cargoes, an all-cargo plane of Russia's AirBridgeCargo Airlines departed from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou city of Central China's Henan province (hereinafter referred to as Zhengzhou airport) for Moscow. So far, Zhengzhou airport has been listed among the world's top 40 cargo airports for two consecutive years with its cargo and mail throughput exceeding 700 thousand tons for the first time.

2021年12月30日上午，俄罗斯空桥货运航空公司一架全货机满载物资，从郑州机场起飞前往莫斯科。至此，郑州机场年货邮吞吐量首次突破70万吨，连续两年跻身全球货运机场40强。

More than 80 percent of the 700 thousand tons of cargoes handled at Zhengzhou airport are mainly for daily use, the weight of which is equivalent to transporting 14 million alpacas per year. Among China's over 230 airports, Zhengzhou airport has maintained its position in the first phalanx. Besides, despite the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years, its cargo throughput still witnessed positive growth. In 2021, Zhengzhou airport's international cargo and mail throughput exceeded 540 thousand tons, ranking 5th in China for five consecutive years, with over 10 thousand inbound or outbound cargo flights handled, hitting a record high.

据了解，70万吨货物中有8成以上为生活类产品，重量相当于一年空运了1400万只羊驼。在全国230多个机场中，郑州机场稳居全国货运领域第一方阵。在连续两年的疫情冲击下，其货运量一直逆势增长。2021年，机场国际地区货邮吞吐量突破54万吨，连续五年位居全国第5位；出入境货运航班首次突破1万架次，创历史新高。

Now, there are 31 all-cargo airlines running at Zhengzhou airport (25 international ones) with 48 all-cargo air routes (38 international ones) and 42 destinations overseas, covering 17 countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. So far, a Y-shaped international air freight network spanning the three economic zones of Europe, America and Asia, covering the world's major economies and supported by multiple destinations around the world has been formed.
