Henan Overfulfills New Urban Employment Target in 2021

125.39万人 河南省城镇新增就业人数超额完成目标

Employment is vital to people's basic livelihood. How about the employment in Central China's Henan province last year? In 2021, Henan created 1,253,900 new jobs in urban areas, exceeding its annual goal, according to the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province on January 15.

就业是民生工作的重点。过去一年中，河南省民众就业情况如何？1月15日，记者从省人社厅获悉，2021年全省城镇新增就业125.39万人，超额完成年度目标任务。

"Policies need to be implemented. For example, cutting of social security premium reduced the burdens of enterprises by 3.702 billion yuan for maintaining stable employment. Besides, the sum of one-time employment subsidy given to enterprises reached 16.68 million yuan over the last year," said a source from the Employment Service and Administration Bureau of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province.  

“政策落到实处才能发挥作用，例如在支持企业稳定岗位方面，社保‘缓降’政策为企业稳岗减负37.02亿元，在鼓励企业吸纳就业方面，全年发放一次性吸纳就业补贴1668万元。”省人社厅就业局有关负责人说。

With preferential policies, Henan created 1,253,900 new jobs in urban areas in 2021 with a year-on-year increase of 2.28 percent, exceeding the year's target by 13.99 percent. By the end of December 2021, both Henan's registered unemployment rate and surveyed urban unemployment rate stood below the government's annual target, showing a stable and upward employment trend.
