Henan to Develop New Infrastructure Projects in Next 5 Years

未来5年，河南这样发力“新基建”

The Plan for Henan's New Infrastructure Construction During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period (2021-25) (hereinafter referred to as the Plan) has been released, said a source from Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province on February 13.

2月13日，记者从省发展改革委获悉，我省印发了《河南省“十四五”新型基础设施建设规划》（以下简称《规划》）。

According to the Plan, by 2025, the number of 5G base stations and data center racks in use provincewide will reach 200 thousand and 150 thousand respectively, achieving full coverage of gigabit broadband networks in urban areas, full coverage of 100-megabit broadband networks in rural areas, and full coverage of 5G network in areas above the township level, for setting up the national communication hub and information center. In addition, infrastructure for sensor networks will be built in the fields of industry, transportation, society, ecology, etc. And the digitalization of traditional infrastructure will be remarkably enhanced. Besides, Henan will strengthen support capability and speed up building a comprehensive national laboratory, 5 state key laboratories and a batch of platforms for industrial technology innovation.

《规划》明确，到2025年，全省5G基站累计达到20万个，数据中心机架数达到15万架，实现城市家庭千兆宽带、农村家庭百兆光纤和乡镇以上5G网络全覆盖，建成全国重要的信息通信枢纽和信息集散中心。产业、交通、社会、生态等领域基础设施感知网络基本建立，传统基础设施数字化水平显著提升。争创1个国家实验室、5个国家重点实验室，建设一批产业技术创新平台，创新基础设施支撑能力持续增强。（中文来源/河南日报 记者/逯彦萃 编译/赵汉青 王家琦 海报/王君艺 审校/丁岚）
