China-Mexico Commemorative Stamps Present Henan to the World

老家河南，为世界添彩！河南元素再次登上建交纪念邮票

By opening wider to the outside world, Central China's Henan province has been injecting new vitality into its historical and cultural heritages in recent years. Foreign stamps with the symbols of Henan, such as the Hongqiqu Canal, Taijiquan, Mythical Creature-themed Mural Painting, etc., have become the "name cards" of the province, presenting the brilliant Central Plain culture to the world.

近年来，随着河南对外开放步伐不断加快，中原文化注入了新的活力和动力。《红旗渠》《太极拳》《汉代壁画·四神云气图》等河南元素不断登上外国邮票，成为中原文化的方寸名片，传播海外，助力河南走向国际。

On February 14, a series of stamps were issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico. The stamps jointly issued by the both sides showcase two historical and cultural landmarks: the Dengfeng Observatory in Henan, and the Pyramid of Kukulkan in Chichen Itza, Mexico. The Dengfeng Observatory-themed stamp has left a deep impression on those enjoying collecting stamps. "Henan adds luster to the world with its brilliant culture!"

2月14日，中国与墨西哥建交50周年纪念邮票正式发行。大河网记者注意到，此次纪念邮票为一套两枚，由中国邮政和墨西哥邮政联合发行，设计图案为河南登封观星台和墨西哥库库尔坎金字塔。河南元素再次登上建交邮票，网友们直呼：“老家河南，为世界添彩！”

The Observatory stamp and the Pyramid stamp in a set symbolize not only a "dialogue" between the Chinese civilization and the Maya civilization across time and space, but also the time-honored friendly exchanges between China and Mexico. "The two stamps go nicely with each other, one for night while the other for the sun. The Dengfeng Observatory-themed stamp presents Henan to the world in a vivid way. Henan is becoming more wonderful and international." A stamp-collecting lover from Henan's Luoyang city told dahe.cn.

登封观星台“牵手”库库尔坎金字塔，不仅是中华文明与玛雅文明跨越时空的一次“对话”，更象征着中墨友好交往源远流长。“两张邮票相互辉映，一为夜空星点闪耀，一为太阳熠熠生辉。河南元素再次登上建交邮票，向世界讲述了一段更加生动的河南故事。老家河南越来越‘靓’，也越来越有国际‘范’。”一位来自洛阳的集邮爱好者告诉大河网记者。

The Dengfeng Observatory, located in Gaocheng town of Henan's Dengfeng city, was built by Chinese astronomer Guo Shoujing in 1276, which is not only the earliest and well-preserved observatory in China, but also a significant part of China's 24 solar terms registered on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Pyramid of Kukulkan, located in Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, is one of the important sites of the Mayan civilization.

据了解，观星台位于河南省登封市告成镇，至元十三年（公元1276年）由元代天文学家郭守敬创建，距今有700多年历史，不仅是中国现存最古老且保护较好的天文台，也是中国“二十四节气”世界非物质文化遗产的重要载体。库库尔坎金字塔位于墨西哥尤卡坦半岛北部，是墨西哥玛雅古文明的重要遗址之一。（文案/赵汉青 王家琦 海报/王君艺 审校/李文竞）
