Central China's Henan province has been actively taking the new opportunities created by the RCEP agreement taking effect on January 1 to promote the dual-circulation development pattern that takes domestic development as the mainstay, with domestic and international development reinforcing each other. Sounding a long whistle, fully loaded with mechanical equipment, a China-Laos Railway freight train left CR Intermodal Zhengzhou Terminal in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan, at 9:20 am, March 15, heading for Vientiane, capital of Laos. Running on the China-Laos Railway, the train, Henan's first China-Laos Railway freight train, will exit China at Mohan Port in Southwest China's Yunnan province and is expected to reach Vientiane within about 6 days. Following the freight routes linking Zhengzhou with Budapest of Hungary and Ho Chi Minh city of Vietnam respectively, the Zhengzhou-Vientiane freight route is the third one newly launched by China-Europe freight train (Zhengzhou) assembly center this year, marking a new stage of economic and trade exchanges and in-depth cooperation between Henan and the RCEP member states.
