Henan Sees Steady Economic Performance in April

Central China's Henan province released its economic performance in April on May 18.
5月18日，河南省统计局公布2022年4月全省经济运行情况。
In April, the added value of the industrial enterprises above a designated size across Henan was up by 4.3 percent year-on-year, 7.2 percentage points higher than the national average. Henan saw 7 of its top 10 sectors above the designated size a positive growth of added value. The growth rate of farm and sideline food processing, computer communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing, production and supply of electric power and heat power, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, and nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing all exceeded 5 percent. These 5 sectors, each expanding 19.3 percent, 9.8 percent, 9.1 percent, 8.1 percent and 5.3 percent year-on-year, stimulated the growth of the industrial enterprises above the designated size in Henan by 3.0 percentage points. Besides, April also saw fast growth in electricity generated by renewable energy sources. Specifically, the volume of electricity generated by renewable energy sources expanded 21.9 percent year-on-year, with the volume of electricity generated by solar and wind energy increasing 26.9 percent and 23.2 percent from a year earlier respectively.
据统计，4月份，河南规模以上工业增加值同比增长4.3%，增速高于全国7.2个百分点。规上工业增加值占比前10位的行业中有7个实现增长，其中农副食品加工业、计算机通信和其他电子设备制造业、电力热力生产和供应业、电气机械和器材制造业、有色金属冶炼和压延加工业等5个行业增加值增速均超过5%，分别增长19.3%、9.8%、9.1%、8.1%和5.3%，合计拉动全省规上工业增加值增长3.0个百分点。同时，新型能源发电量较快增长，4月份，全省规上工业新型能源发电量同比增长21.9%，其中太阳能发电量、风力发电量同比分别增长26.9%、23.2%。
It is worth noting that investment in new projects maintained rapid growth in the first 4 months. From January to April, the total planned investment and completed investment in newly started projects surged 39.1 percent and 39.5 percent year-on-year respectively, while those in the projects with investment above 100 million yuan 39.3 percent and 37.7 percent. Meanwhile, investment in innovation grew rapidly. From January to April, investment in technological transformation of industrial enterprises, scientific research and technology services increased 31.4 percent and 31.0 percent year-on-year respectively, 19.4 and 19.0 percentage points higher than the overall investment growth rate.
值得一提的是，前4个月河南新开工项目投资保持快速增长。据统计，1-4月，河南新开工项目计划总投资、完成投资同比分别增长39.1%、39.5%，其中亿元及以上项目计划总投资、完成投资同比分别增长39.3%、37.7%。同时，创新投入较快增长。1-4月，工业技改投资、科学研究和技术服务业投资分别增长31.4%、31.0%，分别高于全部投资增速19.4、19.0个百分点。（中文来源/大河网 记者/杨露露 编译/赵汉青 王家琦 审校/李文竞）
