河南粮食总产量连续5年稳定在1300亿斤左右

Henan province, a major agricultural province and an important grain producer in China, has spared no efforts to ensure sufficient cultivated land under the trinity comprehensive regulatory system about quantity, quality and ecology of cultivated land.

河南作为全国重要的农业大省、粮食大省，持续强化耕地数量、质量、生态三位一体保护，耕地红线成为不可触碰的高压线。

So far, Henan has saw its cultivated land area stabilize at over 110 million mu (1 mu equals 0.067 hectares) while sown area over 160 million mu, ranking 3rd and 2nd respectively in China, said the Department of Natural Resources of Henan Province on June 24. Besides, Henan has developed 75.80 million mu of high-standard farmland and built 78.45 million mu of functional zones for grain production across the province, with the average cultivated land quality reaching 7.42 (China classifies its cultivated land quality into 15 grades, of which grade 1 is the best while 15 the worst), 2.54 higher than the national average, and the agricultural mechanization rate hitting 86.3 percent, ensuring a stable and high yield.

6月24日，记者从河南省自然资源厅了解到，目前，全省耕地面积稳定在1.1亿亩以上，居全国第3位；粮食播种面积稳定在1.6亿亩以上，居全国第2位；累计建成高标准农田7580万亩，划定粮食生产功能区7845万亩，耕地质量平均等别为7.42，高出全国平均水平2.54个等别，农业机械化率达86.3%，为粮食稳产增产打牢了耕地基础。

It is worth noting that Henan's total grain output has exceeded 130 billion jin (1 jin equals 0.5 kg) for 5 consecutive years, of which over 70 billion jin was contributed by wheat. Besides, Henan contributes over 60 billion jin of raw grain and manufactured products to other provinces every year, strongly boosting China's food security.
