Summer Sowing Basically Completed in Henan

河南省夏播基本结束

 

Summer sowing is progressing smoothly in Central China's Henan province. With about 90 million mu (1 mu equals about 666 square meters) of crops planted by June 28, Henan's summer sowing has generally come to an end, except some areas where soybeans, coarse cereals and rotating vegetables are still being planted.

春争日，夏争时，夏收忙完夏种接茬。截至6月28日，全省夏播面积累计9000万亩左右，除部分地方大豆、杂粮和倒茬蔬菜还在陆续播种外，全省夏播基本结束。

So far, Henan has seen its fields planted with grain crops reaching 68 million mu (55 million mu of maize, 5.8 million mu of rice, 5.2 million mu of soybeans and 2 million mu of sweet potatoes), peanuts 13 million mu, vegetables and melons 8 million mu, and other crops over 1 million mu.

夏播粮食作物6800万亩以上，其中玉米5500万亩、水稻580万亩、大豆520万亩、红薯杂粮200万亩。夏播花生1300万亩左右，蔬菜瓜类800万亩，其他作物100多万亩。

 

China will vigorously expand soybean and oilseed production in 2022, which is stressed in the central rural work conference held from November 25 to 26, 2021. According to the arrangement, Henan undertakes 1 million mu of maize-soybean strip cropping task. Toward this end, Henan has increased subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery for the integrated planting of soybeans and maize, with 200 yuan allocated per mu by the central and provincial governments. So far, this task has been finished.

今年中央农村工作会议提出，要大力扩大大豆和油料生产，河南承担了100万亩大豆玉米带状复合种植任务。我省加大大豆玉米一体化种植农机购置补贴力度，同时中央和省级财政每亩补贴200元。截至目前，全省已完成大豆玉米带状复合种植任务。（中文来源/河南日报 记者/刘晓波 编译/赵汉青 何蒙贺 审校/焦丹）
