A Luoyang Girl Becomes an Online Hit

洛阳女孩扛起父亲看升国旗，现场一幕把百万网友暖哭了

Zhang Baige, a Luoyang girl, has become a hit online again for shouldering her father to watch the national flag-raising ceremony at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing, China. Why do we say "again"? The reason is that Zhang Baige has just become a trending topic on July 4 for buying a recreational vehicle worth 660 thousand yuan to take her father to travel around China.

这两天，由于扛着父亲在天安门看升旗，张白鸽又火了，为什么要说又呢？因为在7月4日，张白鸽花66万元买房车、带父亲张双奇周游全国一事，刚刚登上过热搜。

Zhang Baige and her father live in Yichuan county of Luoyang city, Henan province. Accompanied by her father, she went to Beijing to see a doctor. Her father once mentioned that he had a wish to watch the national flag-raising ceremony at Tian'anmen Square someday. Keeping this in mind, she helped her father fulfill his wish.

这一对父女来自河南省洛阳市伊川县，这一次是父亲陪着女儿到北京看病。父亲之前无意间提到想看升旗，女儿就偷偷记下来了，并趁着看病的空当，带父亲去实现梦想。

To have a better view, Zhang Baige shouldered her father just as her father carried her on his shoulders when she was a kid. "Dad, can you see the ceremony?" "Yes, I see it."

升旗仪式开始的时候，为了让父亲看得更清楚，张白鸽直接把他扛在了肩头，就像小时候父亲扛着她那样。“看见了没有，爸？”“看见了！”父亲的脸上满是骄傲。

"Finally I helped my 75-year-old father fulfill his wish, and I should build a strong body so that I can help my father to fulfill more wishes," wrote Zhao Baige on Douyin, a popular short-video platform in China. The short video has gained 2.38 million likes. "Such a heartwarming act," commented a netizen.

“终于圆了75岁老爸的梦，我要越来越健康，这样才能把本子里记录下老爸想做的事，慢慢去实现。”张白鸽在抖音发布父女俩看升旗视频的时候写道。这条不长的视频，感动了很多人，获得238万次点赞，网友纷纷留言：“这一扛，好暖。”

"He raised me up and I will never leave him alone"

他养我长大，我陪他变老

In fact, Zhang Baige and Zhang Shuangqi do not have a blood relationship. More than 20 years ago, Zhang Shuangqi adopted an abandoned baby girl and named her Baige.  "I was raised by such a 50-year-old man who had never been married because of me," said Zhang Baige with a smile.

其实，张白鸽和张双奇并没有血缘关系，二十多年前，张双奇把被遗弃的女婴抱回家，取名“白鸽”，既当爹又当妈地抚养她长大。“一个50岁的小老头，一辈子没结过婚，就这样手忙脚乱地把我养大了。”回首往事，张白鸽笑着说。

Zhang Shuangqi did a lot of hard works, such as collecting scraps, digging out raw materials for medicines, herding sheep, arduously working at construction sites, etc. To ease her father's burden, Zhang Baige dropped out of school early and once worked as a waitress and a street vendor. She would also do some part-time jobs during her spare time by selling cosmetics and other products online. E-commerce has benefited Zhang Baige to live a better life.

为了抚养张白鸽，张双奇捡废品、挖药材、放羊、到工地干苦力。深知父亲不易的张白鸽，很早就步入了社会，当过服务员、摆过地摊……利用空闲时间，张白鸽兼职挣钱，在网上卖化妆品等一些东西。后来，张白鸽接触电商，并慢慢有了积蓄。

To show her gratitude to her father, Zhang Baige stopped her work in 2021 and bought a recreational vehicle to take her father travel around China, such as Shaanxi, Sichuan, Lhasa of Tibet, Xinjiang, etc.

2021年，为了报恩，张白鸽暂停工作，花66万元买了一辆房车，和父亲来了一场说走就走的旅行。他们从河南出发，途经陕西，到达四川，一路奔向拉萨，穿过广阔的新疆……基本上在祖国的版图上走了一个圈。

"Father is getting older and older, and no matter in what ways such as traveling around China or watching the flag-raising ceremony, I would do everything I could to fulfill his wishes. He raised me up and I will never leave him alone," said Zhang Baige emotionally.
