Zhengzhou Airport's North Cargo Area Starts Trial Operation on Aug 16

郑州机场北货运区8月16日起试运营

 

On August 16, Zhengzhou airport's north cargo area, part of the expansion project of the third phase of Zhengzhou airport, commenced trial operation. On the same day, 3 cargo flights run by Cathay Pacific Airways, Hainan Airlines and Russian Volga-Dnepr Airlines arrived and completed their freight tasks there.

郑州机场北货运区开门迎嘉宾：8月16日凌晨至当日17时，来自国泰航空、海南航空、俄罗斯伏尔加-第聂伯航空公司的3个航班，均成功转场到郑州机场北货运区装卸作业，标志着北货运区开始试运营。

After goods unloading, staff members of Zhengzhou airport uploaded a nearly 10-meter-long non-removable industrial equipment into a 747-800 all-cargo plane of Cathay Pacific Airways, the first guest of Zhengzhou airport's north cargo area. At 2:36, carrying 107 tons of electronic products, clothing, moulds, vaccines, caviar, etc., the plane left Zhengzhou for other countries all over the world via Hong Kong.

作为北货区迎接的第一个“嘉宾”，国泰航空的“空中女王”波音747-800全货机在卸载完进港货物之后，机组人员徐徐将货机鼻门升起，郑州机场货运员工齐心协力，顺利地将一件近十米不能拆装的超长工业设备从机头传送到货舱内。8月16日2时36分，该货机满载着107吨电子产品、服装、模具、疫苗、鱼子酱等货物，从郑州机场昂首起飞前往香港中转至世界各地。

 

With a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan, Zhengzhou airport's north cargo area covers 160 thousand square meters, including 70 thousand square meters of warehouses with a designed annual cargo freight capacity of 600 thousand tons. Besides, 16 stands for cargo flights, 3,000 square meters of centers for cold-chain products and 4,500 square meters of inspection zones for fresh fruits and edible aquatic animals have been built. So far, Zhengzhou airport's freight depot has covered an area of 198 thousand square meters with 25 stands for cargo flights and an annual cargo freight capacity of 1.10 million tons, hence laying a solid foundation to build Zhengzhou into an international air freight hub.

郑州机场北货运区总投资48亿元，总建筑面积16万平方米，其中北货站库区面积7万平方米，设计年保障能力60万吨；新建货机位16个、冷链中心3000平方米、生鲜水果和食用水生动物查验区4500平方米。至此，郑州机场货运站总面积达到19.8万平方米，货机位25个，年货邮保障能力110万吨，为打造郑州国际航空货运枢纽奠定了坚实基础。

Over 400 thousand tons of cargo have been handled at Zhengzhou airport since this January, including 330 thousand international cargo with an increase of 8.8 percent year-on-year. So far, with 48 all-cargo air routes opened by 31 cargo airlines running at Zhengzhou airport, an international air freight network spanning Europe, America and Asia, covering the world's major economies and supported by multiple destinations around the world has been shaped.
