Creative Industry Boosts Income in Shibanyan

Shibanyan town, located in the northwest of Linzhou city in Central China's Henan province, has attracted many "student artists" with its lucid waters and lush mountains. Shibanyan, leaning on the Taihang Grand Canyon, boasts beautiful natural scenery and distinctive stone construction. The town began to develop an art industry in the 1980s，which  gradually became the local pillar industry. More than 5 million tourists and art students flock to the town every year, bringing a total income of 1.3 billion yuan ($181,220,000), The Times reported recently.
