'Zhongyu' Freight Train Finishes Its First Return Trip to Luoyang

洛阳中欧班列(中豫号)首趟回程班列顺利抵达

Loaded with 50 TEUs (1,300 tons) of wheat bran pellets, a "Zhongyu" China Railway Express freight train from Kostanay region of Kazakhstan arrived at Dongfanghong (Luoyang) International Land Port on the morning of December 16, marking the first time that "Zhongyu" freight train finished its return trip to Luoyang and the successful launch of a two-way freight train service between Luoyang and the countries and regions along the Belt and Road.

12月16日上午，随着火车汽笛轰鸣，“库斯塔奈—洛阳”国际班列搭载着50个标准集装箱约1300吨的进口麦麸颗粒，从哈萨克斯坦顺利抵达东方红（洛阳）国际陆港。这是洛阳中欧班列（中豫号）统一命名开行以来的首趟回程班列，同时标志着东方红（洛阳）国际陆港与“一带一路”沿线国家和地区实现了国际货运班列双向互通。

Traveling over 5,600 kilometers in 13 days, the freight train powered by China's multimodal transport system departed from Kostanay region, entered China through Alataw Pass in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and arrived at Dongfanghong (Luoyang) International Land Port. In the near future, grain products from Kazakhstan, such as barley and corn, will also be transported to Luoyang via this route.

该趟班列采取“国际货运+国内多式联运”的运输模式，从哈萨克斯坦库斯塔奈地区出发，经阿拉山口入境，全程5600多公里，历经13天抵达东方红（洛阳）国际陆港。后续，哈萨克斯坦还将有大麦、玉米等多种粮食产品陆续运抵东方红（洛阳）国际陆港。

With the support of the provincial and municipal governments, Dongfanghong (Luoyang) International Land Port brings out its full potential by virtue of the "Zhongyu" freight trains, said Huang Xiaokang, general manager of YTO (Luoyang) Logistics Co Ltd. Many commodities produced by Luoyang's enterprises have been transported to Central Asia and Russia, including agricultural machinery, engineering machinery, photovoltaic glass, refractory materials, aluminum products, steel furniture, motorcycles and ore raw materials, which not only expands Luoyang's international logistics channel, but also promotes the globalization of its manufacturing sector.

一拖（洛阳）物流有限公司总经理黄晓康介绍，中欧班列（中豫号）统一命名统筹开行以来，在省、市的大力支持下，东方红（洛阳）国际陆港充分释放资源潜能，将洛阳本地企业生产的农业机械、工程机械、光伏玻璃、耐火材料、铝加工产品、钢制办公家具、摩托车、矿石原材料等，通过中欧班列（中豫号）销往中亚、俄罗斯等地，进一步带动了洛阳拓宽国际物流通道和制造业全球化发展。

Statistically, at the end of November, Dongfanghong (Luoyang) International Land Port has handled 21,798 TEUs of cargo, an increase of 6,738 TEUs or 44.7 percent year on year.
