Henan traditional culture appears in Dubai carnival for Chinese New Year

On Jan. 14, Dubai's three-day "Happy Spring Festival" grand parade opened. The Kaifeng Area of China (Henan) Pilot Free Trade Zone delegation participated in the carnival.

The Kaifeng Area exhibition hall integrated various intangible cultural heritage elements into its cultural products, such as mandarin porcelain, Bian embroidery of Kaifeng, woodcut New Year pictures, bronze acupuncture statue, traditional Chinese clothing, movable-type printing, etc. Lots of tourists gathered here to enjoy the beauty of Chinese culture.

The exhibition of the Kaifeng Area also arranged virtual visits to Henan's famous cultural attractions and museums, such as the Yellow River Scenic Spot, Longmen Grottoes, Shaolin Temple, and Henan Museum, etc. to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of Henan to the tourists.

The event is guided by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, co-hosted by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in the United Arab Emirates and Consulate-General of the PRC in Dubai, and Hala China, and supported by Expo City Dubai. Under the support of the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Kaifeng area of China · Henan Pilot Free Trade Zone organized a delegation of Henan's excellent traditional culture to assist in organizing the event.
