Henan Sends Aid to Turkiye Following Devastating Earthquake
On February 9, 5 members of the Henan Blue Sky Rescue Team arrived at the Istanbul Airport in Turkiye at about 2 a.m. local time. Later, they will take a transfer flight to Malatya.

A magnitude-7.8 earthquake caused devastation in Turkiye and neighboring Syria at 4:17 a.m. local time on February 6, and was followed by a magnitude-7.5 quake at 1:24 p.m. The Chinese government immediately activated the emergency humanitarian assistance mechanism. By February 9, a total of 82 rescuers dispatched by the Chinese government and 8 members of the Ramunion Rescue Team, a civilian rescue organization in China, have arrived in Turkiye.
