An online cultural promotion campaign themed "Exploring China -- Origin of Chinese Characters" kicked off in Anyang city of Central China's Henan province on February 17. After the launch ceremony, over 50 journalists commenced a 6-day journey to explore the origin of Chinese characters. National Museum of Chinese Writing is the first stop. 2月17日，“写意中国——探寻汉字起源”网上主题宣传活动在河南安阳正式启动。启动仪式后，围绕“汉字起源”，采访团一行随即开启为期6天的采风创作活动。我身后便是此次集中采访的第一站——中国文字博物馆。走吧，带你沉浸式探馆！
Situated in Anyang (home of oracle-bone inscriptions), National Museum of Chinese Writing is one of China's first-class museums. After the completion of the last-phase construction, it opened to the public with a brand-new look on November 16, 2022. The 2 newly-built venues are located to the east and west of the main venue respectively. A bird's eye view of the 3 venues looks like a Chinese character "合" (harmony in English), embodying the Chinese nation's traditional concept of "harmony between man and nature".
中国文字博物馆是国家一级博物馆，坐落于“甲骨文之乡”河南省安阳市。2022年11月16日，中国文字博物馆续建工程和汉字公园正式面向公众开放，标志着中国文字博物馆全面建成。续建工程分东、西两个场馆，它们与主体馆形成合抱之势，俯视效果如同汉字“合”字，体现了中华民族“天人合一”的传统文化理念。
Here are some pieces of well-preserved oracle bones with inscriptions. Oracle-bone inscriptions are an ancient Chinese language named for their inscriptions on tortoise shells and animal bones. They are a primitive form of Chinese characters and the oldest fully-developed characters in China, helping to bring recorded Chinese history nearly 1,000 years earlier than previously believed.
我们现在看到的是一些保存较好的甲骨，上面刻有文字。甲骨文是中国的一种古老文字，主要指商朝晚期王室用于占卜记事而在龟甲或兽骨上契刻的文字，也是中国目前已知的能见到的最早的成熟汉字，它的发现把中国信史向前推进了近千年。
