Henan's actual use of foreign capital surges 15.6% in Q1
一季度河南省实际使用外资金额同比增长15.6%
In the first quarter of this year, 76 foreign-funded enterprises were newly registered in Central China's Henan province, with the actual use of foreign capital increasing 15.6 percent year-on-year to 185 million US dollars, said a source from the Department of Commerce of Henan Province on April 25.
4月25日，记者从河南省商务厅获悉，今年一季度，全省实际使用外资1.85亿美元，与去年同期相比增长15.6%；新设外商投资企业76家，同比增长13.4%。
Henan continues to strengthen economic and trade exchanges with the countries (regions) along the Belt and Road and increase investment attraction from these nations (regions). In March, Henan sent a team to Europe to attract commerce and investment. The team visited relevant trade and investment promotion institutions and business associations in Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland, and actively promoted Henan's advantageous industries to seek further cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, intelligent manufacturing, and other areas.
深度融入“一带一路”建设，河南省持续加强与沿线国家和地区的经贸往来，加大招商引资力度。今年3月，河南省组建赴欧招商引资小分队，到德国、比利时、瑞士拜访相关贸易投资促进机构和商协会，积极推介河南优势产业，拓展经贸、科技、智能制造等领域的合作空间。
According to the Department of Commerce of Henan, "With obvious geographical advantages, these countries are important Belt and Road Initiative partners and serve as a gateway for Henan businesses to access the European market. Actively 'going abroad' has widened Henan's investment attraction channels in Europe, thereby attracting more European investors to Henan."

In the first quarter, Henan's actual use of foreign capital from the countries (regions) along the Belt and Road expanded 74.7 percent year-on-year to 16.61 million US dollars, while from the RCEP member countries 117 percent to 20.66 million.
