Henan embraces a new national archaeological site park
河南新增一个国家考古遗址公园
The National Archaeological Site Park of Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BC) Capital Ruins was unveiled on June 10. Located in the downtown area of Zhengzhou city, the capital of Central China's Henan province, the National Archaeological Site Park consists of overground wall remains, underground cultural remains, green spaces and Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins Museum, striving to build itself into the one featuring "an ancient city in a park and a park in an ancient city". Taking the protection of the Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins as the core, with the integrated functions of leisure, cultural entertainment and education services, it has realized the harmonious coexistence of wall remains protection, archaeological site park construction and urban development in the downtown area.
6月10日,郑州商城国家考古遗址公园揭牌仪式成功举行。郑州商城国家考古遗址公园位于郑州市中心城区,由地上城墙遗址、地下考古遗址、遗址上的公园绿地,以及郑州商代都城遗址博物院等文化遗址空间共同组成,总体定位是以商代都城遗址保护展示为核心,集文化体验、教育休闲为一体的“园中城·城中园”国家考古遗址公园,实现了城垣遗址保护、考古遗址公园建设与中心城区城市生活和谐交融。
Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins, where the first capital of the Shang Dynasty was located, has been playing a significant role in tracing the origins of early Chinese civilization. Cultural relics unearthed here reflect the great social development at that time. It was listed among China's first national key cultural relics protection units in 1961, top 100 archaeological discoveries of the 20th century in 2001, and top 100 archaeological discoveries in the past 100 years in 2021.
作为商王朝的开国之都,郑州商代都城遗址是中华早期文明探源的重要载体和支撑,其文化内涵代表了早商文明的发展高度。1961年“郑州商代遗址”被公布为第一批全国重点文物保护单位,2001年被列为“20世纪中国100项考古大发现”,2021年又入选“全国百年百大考古发现”。(中文来源/顶端新闻·河南商报 记者/张弋 编译/杨佳欣 审校/张军平)
