It is said that artifacts sold at an antique market may seem to be invaluable, but actually they were produced last week. However, in a museum, some cultural relics, which seem valueless, may boast a history of thousands of years. Look at this pottery cup. It resembles a beer mug of a barbecue restaurant, doesn't it?
有人说，在古玩市场淘宝贝，看起来像是“西周”的，其实它是“上周”的。但在博物馆里看文物，有些看似“路边摊”，实际上却已经有着数千年的历史了。比如我手边的这个杯子，像不像烧烤店里的扎啤杯？
This striped pottery cup is highly similar to today's beer mug in both shape and handle. However, it is actually a pottery ware dating back to the Neolithic Age, with a history of more than 4,000 years, which was discovered from the Mazhuang site in Zhengzhou city, Central China's Henan province.
这件条纹灰陶杯无论是形态上还是把手上，都和今天的“啤酒杯”高度相似，但它的确是一件来自新石器时代的陶器，至今已有4000余年的历史，出土于郑州马庄遗址。
Located at Mazhuang village of Zhongyuan district of Zhengzhou city, the Mazhuang site is of the mid-late Longshan Culture period. Some key cultural remains excavated at the site showcase such features as continuity or a certain stage.
马庄遗址位于郑州中原区须水镇马庄村，主要是河南龙山文化中期偏晚的遗存，一些主要出土文物的嬗变过程，有着明显的连续性和阶段性。
With a straight mouth, a round lip and a deep body, this striped pottery cup has a sloping bottom and a round foot, simple but elegant. Cracks on the cup show its history.
这件条纹灰陶杯，杯为直口，圆唇，深腹，杯下部略收束，圆足，腹部饰竖条纹，简略大方。杯子上的道道裂缝，凝结了岁月的痕迹。
The stripes and the right handle reflect the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people.
简约而不简单的竖条纹和恰到好处的单边把手彰显着古代先民们的智慧。
