Henan, Cradle of China. Today, the International and Local Media Yellow River Tour kicked off in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province. In the following 3 days, they will visit some landmarks in Henan to explore the connotation and core value of the Yellow River culture in the new era.
Our first stop is the Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins in Zhengzhou. What will we see here? Let's take a look.
Located in the downtown area of Zhengzhou, Henan, is the Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins, which can date back to some 3,600 years ago. According to the Xia-Shang-Zhou Chronology Project, it used to be the capital city as well as the political, economic, cultural and military center in early Shang Dynasty (1,600-1,046 BC). Shang Dynasty Capital Ruins in Zhengzhou has been listed among both China's top 100 archaeological discoveries of the 20th century in 2001 and China's top 100 archaeological discoveries of the past century in 2021.
