Henan athletes win Soft Tennis Singles bronzes at Hangzhou Asiad

Henan athletes Li Denglin and Ma Yue tied for bronze in the Women's Soft Tennis Singles at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday.

In the quarter-finals of the women's Soft Tennis Singles at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou held on Saturday, Henan athletes Ma Yue and Li Denglin defeated their opponents and advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Ma lost 0-4 to Mun Hyegyeong of the Republic of Korea, while Li lost 1-4 to Noa Takahashi of Japan. Li and Ma tied for bronze in the Women's Soft Tennis Singles.

在当天进行的软式网球女子单打四分之一决赛中，马玥、李邓琳分别战胜各自对手晋级半决赛。半决赛中，马玥0∶4不敌实力强劲的韩国选手文惠庆，李邓琳面对日本名将高桥乃绫，也以1∶4告负。由于软式网球比赛不进行铜牌争夺战，最终，马玥、李邓琳两位河南姑娘双双获得铜牌。

Soft tennis is a racket game played on a court of two halves, separated by a net. It was first incorporated into the Asian Games in 1994. The soft tennis of the Hangzhou Asian Games was held in Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Tennis Centre from October 3 to October 7, and the athletes competed for 5 gold medals.

软式网球是从网球派生出来的一种运动，在北京1990年第11届亚运会上成为表演项目，随后在第12届亚运会上成为正式比赛项目。杭州亚运会软式网球项目共产生5枚金牌。
