Tennis: China's Zheng Qinwen wins Zhengzhou title, makes history for Chinese tennis

The 21-year-old Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen defeated Barbora Krejcikova 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the final of the WTA World Tour Zhengzhou Open tennis tournament in China on Sunday, winning her second career title and her first on home soil. 

Zheng clinched the women's singles tennis title during the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, on September 29.

The Women's Tennis Association 500 event in Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province, ran from October 9 to 15, with the prize money amounting to $780,637.
