In September, the Civil Affairs Bureau and Charity Federation of Kashgar, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, cooperated with Henan Provincial Chest Hospital to carry out voluntary screening for congenital heart disease. Among nearly 400 chidren who received screening in five counties of Xinjiang, incuding Shache, Zepu, Yecheng, Maigaiti, and Tashilkurgan Tajik autonomous county, 28 were found to have congenital heart disease and met the indications for surgery.
Up to now, Henan Provincial Chest Hospital has rescued more than 10 thousand children with congenital heart disease, with a total amount of more than 100 million yuan, benefiting Henan Province and other regions in China, including Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Tibet Autonomous Region, and Guizhou Province. Social charity funds have also been collected in succession.
