Seminar on Jiahu culture seeks origins of Chinese civilization
贾湖文化 点燃中华文明的星火
11月4日,纪念贾湖遗址发掘40周年暨第二届贾湖文化国际研讨会在漯河举行,百余名来自国内外的专家学者,围绕贾湖文化研究、中华文明探源等主题进行学术报告。
The Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of Jiahu Site Excavation and the 2nd International Seminar on Jiahu Culture was held on November 4 in Luohe City, Central China's Henan Province. Over a hundred experts and scholars at home and abroad gave keynote speeches on the study of Jiahu culture and the trace of the origins of Chinese civilization.
贾湖遗址是距今9000年至7500年中国史前文化的重要遗址,其丰富的文化内涵,为中国乃至世界音乐起源、稻作起源、酿酒起源、家畜起源、甲骨契刻及原始崇拜等领域的研究都提供了不可多得的珍贵资料,为中华文明起源奠定了坚实基础,是史前人类文化的优秀代表,为同时期东亚地区的文化高峰。
The Jiahu Ruins are an essential representative of Chinese prehistoric culture from 9,000 to 7,500 years ago. The cultural and artistic remains uncovered there provide precious materials for tracing the origins of music, rice growing, winemaking, livestock, oracle bone inscriptions, and primitive worship in China and even the world. Additionally, the Jiahu Ruins are an important part of tracing the origins of Chinese civilization, and the Jiahu witnessed the first cultural peak of East Asia during the same period.
“贾湖文化的创造者不仅是优秀的猎人、渔夫和工匠,还是优秀的音乐家,贾湖文化的发现,再现了淮河上游八九千年前的辉煌。”贾湖遗址主要发掘者、主要研究者之一的中国科学技术大学教授张居中,对贾湖遗址给予高度评价,并介绍了近10年贾湖文化最新研究成果。
"The creators of Jiahu culture were hunters, fishermen, and artisans, but also excellent musicians who created a splendid Neolithic culture. The discovery of Jiahu culture reproduces the glory of the upper reaches of the Huaihe River 8000 or 9000 years ago." Zhang Juzhong, a professor from the University of Science and Technology of China and one of the leading excavators and researchers of the Jiahu Ruins, told the Henan Daily and introduced the latest research results of Jiahu culture in the last ten years.
中国地质大学(武汉)教授杨明星认为,贾湖先民在距今9000年至8500年开始利用绿松石制作饰品,这是世界最早的。此后,将绿松石用作丧葬物品,这也是世界最早的。
Yang Mingxing, a professor from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), said that the Jiahu people began using turquoise to make jewelry from 9000 to 8500 years ago, which is the earliest in the world, and they were also the earliest to use turquoise as burial objects worldwide.
11月5日,全体与会学者发出《加强贾湖遗址考古工作和研究成果转化与保护传承的倡议书》,倡议把贾湖遗址纳入中华文明探源工程和考古中国项目,争取申报世界文化遗产,加强贾湖遗址的保护活化利用,讲好中国故事之贾湖表达。
On November 5, all attending scholars issued the "Proposal to Strengthen the Archaeological Work and Research Achievements Application, Protection and Inheritance of the Jiahu Ruins," proposing to include the Jiahu Ruins in the "Project of Tracing the Chinese Civilization" and "Archaeology in China Project," striving to have it included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list and strengthening the protection and utilization of the Jiahu Ruins, making it glows with new vitality.
在国家文物局的大力支持下,漯河市依托贾湖遗址,实施大遗址保护展示工程、环境整治工程,建设了贾湖遗址博物馆,推动贾湖考古遗址公园初具规模,成为河南展现中华文明起源阶段最具代表性的展示场所之一。
With the support of China's National Cultural Heritage Administration, Luohe City, which implemented the major ruins protection and display projects and environmental improvement projects with the Jiahu Ruins as the backbone, built the Jiahu Ruins Museum, facilitated the construction of the Jiahu Archaeological Site Park, becoming one of the most representative places in Henan to show the origin of Chinese civilization.
自1983年至今,贾湖遗址历经8次发掘,出土文物数量之多、品类之盛、制作之美、内涵之丰富,为全国同时期遗存所罕见。离贾湖遗址博物馆不远,贾湖遗址发掘地正紧张有序进行第9次发掘。
Since 1983, the Jiahu Ruins have undergone eight rounds of excavation, and the unearthed relics there surpass its counterparts of the same period in China separately in number, variety, craftsmanship, and cultural connotation. Not far from the Jiahu Ruins Museum, the Jiahu Ruins is undergoing the 9th round of excavation.
