Over 108 million people benefited from South-to-North Water Diversion Project's central route
南水北调中线一期工程累计调水600亿立方米

The first phase of the central route of China's South-to-North Water Diversion Project has transferred 60 billion cubic meters of water (including 9.51 billion cubic meters of water for ecological compensation) to North China by November 13, 2023, directly benefiting over 108 million people, said a source from the Department of South-to-North Water Diversion Project Management of the Ministry of Water Resources of China.
来自水利部南水北调工程管理司的最新消息，截至2023年11月13日，南水北调中线一期工程累计调水600亿立方米（含生态补水95.1亿立方米），直接受益人口超1.08亿人。
The South-to-North Water Diversion Project's central route has been bringing more benefits to Central China's Henan province in recent years, according to the Department of Water Resources of Henan. So far, 30.50 million people living in the urban areas of 11 prefecture-level cities, 49 counties (county-level cities and districts) as well as 122 towns across Henan have been benefiting from the project.
来自河南省水利厅的数据，近年来，河南省南水北调供水范围不断扩大，截至目前，南水北调中线一期工程覆盖全省11个省辖市市区、49个县（市、区）城区和122个乡镇，受益人口达3050万人。
Since its launch on December 12, 2014, the South-to-North Water Diversion Project's central route has become a lifeline of water supply for 26 large and medium-sized cities along the route and generated obvious economic, social and ecological benefits with enhanced water quality and reliable water supply. The guarantee rate of domestic water supply in these cities has jumped from less than 75 percent to more than 95 percent, and that of industrial water supply has exceeded more than 90 percent.
南水北调中线一期工程自2014年12月12日正式通水以来，成为沿线26个大中城市的供水生命线，发挥了显著的经济、社会、生态和安全效益，从根本上改变了受水区供水格局，改善了供水水质，提高了供水保证率，各受水城市的生活供水保证率由最低不足75%提高到95%以上，工业供水保证率达90%以上。
So far, over 70 percent of water in Bejing's urban area comes from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The domestic water in the main urban area of Tianjin also comes from the project. Besides, 11 prefecture-level cities of Henan use water from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. It is worth noting that over 90 percent of urban residents in Zhengzhou are using such water in their daily life. More than 5 million people in Cangzhou, Hengshui and Handan in North China's Hebei province end the long history of drinking high-fluoride water and brackish water.
目前，南水北调水已占北京市城区供水的七成以上，天津主城区供水基本为南水北调水，河南省11个省辖市用上南水北调水，其中郑州中心城区90%以上居民生活用水为南水北调水。河北省沧州、衡水、邯郸等地500多万群众告别了长期饮用高氟水和苦咸水的历史。（中文来源/河南日报 记者/谭勇 孟向东 编译/杨佳欣 审校/焦丹）
