Henan's International Media joins hands with Zhengzhou University to promote international communications capabilities

The Signing Ceremony of the Co-building Practice Base and Experts Appointment was held at Zhengzhou University (ZZU) on November 16, 2023. The two participating parties are the Henan International Communication Center (HICC) and the School of International Studies of ZZU. Twelve leading experts in English from ZZU, including Prof. Hu Gengshen, Prof. Wang Zhiwei, and Prof. Yang Mingxing, were appointed as the experts of HICC, providing intellectual support for strengthening capacity building for international communication.

The HICC was established on June 21, 2023, in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan Province. It is currently the only provincial-level international communication media in Henan that strives to strengthen Henan's voice in international affairs and better present Henan culture to the rest of the world.

The head of HICC introduced that the Center has pooled international communication resources from Henan Daily, Dahe.cn, Top News, Dahe Daily, Henan Mobile News, and Today Consumer, focusing on developing the "HiHenan" flagship brand and building a "1+1+N+X" publicity matrix. Moreover, HICC has signed strategic cooperation agreements with 16 overseas Chinese media. It has launched many high-quality bilingual products that help to present a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of Henan.

According to the agreement, HICC will provide internship opportunities for the school's outstanding students and designate personnel to provide practical guidance for them. Moreover, the Center will invite the twelve experts to offer assistance with their professional advantages.

Prof. Qian Jiancheng, Dean of the School of International Studies, noted that the School of International Studies will take this cooperation as an opportunity to cultivate more talents with profound love for their family and country, global vision, and vocational skills to make more contributions to promoting China to the world and the world to understand China better.

The signing ceremony is organized by Dahe.cn, the first provincial-level media in Henan to do international communication and also one of the leading forces in building HICC.
