Over 60 Chinese and international journalists and online celebrities participating in the nearly week-long tour of Hainan for representatives of international media organizations and social media personalities visited Jiangdong New Area in Haikou city of Southeast China's Hainan province on November 27 to explore its distinct location advantages, ecological protection, investment promotion, etc.

Located in northeastern Haikou, the 298 km of Jiangdong New Area along the coast stretches from Dongzhai Port to the Nandu River and continues south to the city's beltway and the S212 Provincial Highway. Roughly divided into an eastern "ecological" zone (covering just over 100 square kilometers) and a western "industrial-urban integration area", made up of Meilan Airport and its surroundings, Jiangdong includes the 33 square kilometers Dongzhaigang National Nature Reserve, the Binhai CBD, Binjiang International Activity Center, and the international cultural exchange, comprehensive service, innovation and entrepreneurship, and higher education clusters.

海口江东新区位于海口东海岸区域，东起东寨港，西至南渡江，北临东海岸线，南至绕城高速二期和212省道，总面积298平方公里。整体划分为东部生态功能区和西部产城融合区，东部生态功能区约106平方公里，包含33平方公里的东寨港国家级自然保护区；西部产城融合区约192平方公里，分为“一港双心四组团”，即：以美兰国际空港为核心的临空经济区、滨海生态总部聚集中心、滨江国际活力中心、国际文化交往组团、国际综合服务组团、国际离岸创新创业组团、国际高教科研组团。

The Haikou Jiangdong New Area (JDNA) Management Bureau officially began operations on March 23, 2020. Three months later -- on June 3, 2020 -- it was listed as one of the FTP's 13 key industrial parks under the name "Hainan Free Trade Port Haikou Jiangdong New Area."

2020年3月23日，海口江东新区管理局正式挂牌运行。2020年6月3日，海口江东新区作为海南自由贸易港13个重点园区之一，正式挂牌“海南自由贸易港海口江东新区”。

Since its formal launch in March 2020, the JDNA Management Bureau has been focusing on the "4+X" service industries (modern finance, aviation, consumer products, and export oriented and smart services) -- actively pursued the goals of creating a "Centralized Hainan Free Trade Port Exhibition Area" and a "Modern Service Industry Demonstration Area," and, as part of high quality and high standards development and construction, diligently made plans prior to taking any form of action. In the period before and since its official launch, the construction of JDNA has been off to a good start, with primary economic indicators consistently showing annual increases.

自2020年3月运行以来，江东管理局紧扣打造“海南自由贸易港集中展示区”和“代服务业示范区”的目标定位，围绕“4+x产业（新金融、临空经济、消费精品、数字智慧及其他出口型、外向型服务业），坚持规划先行、谋定后动、高质量高标准开发建设，园区建设取得了良好开局。

With fixed investments of over CNY 100 billion (increasing at an astonishing 40% per year) and fast approaching USD 100 billion in cumulative revenues, the park's average annual growth rate has been a whopping 154%. At the same time, the park's tax revenues have grown at an average of 105% per year, and JDNA has provided Hainan with over CNY 12 billion in tax revenues. Other notable numbers include investment by non-state-owned entities increasing from 30% in 2020 to 56% in 2022, over USD 3 billion in foreign investment (growing at 56% per year, JDNA's foreign investment numbers have been first among the province's key industrial parks for three consecutive years now), USD 3.5 billion in offshore trade volume (growing at an average 210% per year), over CNY 11 billion in import and export volume (growing at an average of 161% per year), and as of the end of December 2022 over 70,000 registered market entities (of which, at 91% growth per year, 26,300 are enterprises).

2019年-2022年，园区主要经济指标连年增长。累计实现营收6686亿元，连续突破千亿、两千亿、三千亿大关，年均增长154%；税收124亿元，年均增长105%；固投1122亿元，年均增长40%，其中社会投资占比从2020年的30%提升至2022年的56%；纳统外资31 亿美元，连续三年在全省重点园区中排名第一，年均增长56%；离岸贸易额35亿美元，年均增长210%；进出口总额113亿元，年均增长161%；截至2022年12月底，区域内市场主体70449家，其中企业26300家，年均增长91%。（杨佳欣）
