110 million yuan of cargo benefits from RCEP in Xuchang in 2023

In 2023, Xuchang city of Central China's Henan province issued 437 RCEP certificates of origin for goods worth a total of 110 million yuan (exceeding 100 million yuan for the first time), reducing tariffs by nearly 4.36 million yuan, said Xuchang Customs recently.
近日，记者从许昌海关获悉，2023年许昌海关为该市出口企业办理RCEP原产地证书437份、签证金额1.1亿元，全市签证金额首次突破1亿元，预计企业可享受目的国关税优惠约436万元。
Since the RCEP agreement came into effect on January 1, 2022, enterprises in Xuchang have benefited from tariff reduction and "cumulative rules of origin" among the RCEP members.
RCEP（区域全面经济伙伴关系协定）2022年1月1日生效实施，成员国间关税减免、原产地累积规则等政策落地为许昌市外贸进出口业务发展带来重大利好。
As the third largest industrial city in Henan, Xuchang claims to be "Wenzhou of Henan". Wenzhou is known as one of the three model cities of post-reform China. With booming private economy and foreign trade, Xuchang has built up unique strength in producing power equipment, hair products, transmission shafts, etc. The lowered export tariffs and warm-hearted service of customs and commerce departments greatly accelerated Xuchang's competitiveness in global market. In 2023, Xuchang's foreign trade value jumped 7.7 percent year-on-year to 27.16 billion yuan, ranking 3rd in Henan.
