Tian Haitao, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone and director of the Administration Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, visited the construction of Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology and Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on January 12, stressing the importance of earnestly carrying our the instructions of Lou Yangsheng, secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, on the layout of colleges and universities by fully promoting the construction with the sense of responsibility and urgency to inject new vitality into the high-quality development of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone and provide talents and intellectual support for the construction of modern Henan.
1月12日，河南郑州航空港区党工委副书记、管委会主任田海涛实地调研河南电子科技大学、郑州航空航天大学项目，强调要认真贯彻落实省委书记楼阳生关于高校布局指示精神，以时不我待、分秒必争的责任感、紧迫感，全力推动项目建设，为航空港区高质量发展注入新活力，为现代化河南建设提供人才和智力支撑。
Tian pointed out that the establishment of Henan University of Electronic Science and Technology and Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a strategic measure related to Henan's long-term development, a key step to building Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone into an important innovation highland and talent center, and a pragmatic move to meet the public's demand for high-quality higher education. First, with a vision of 30 years ahead, the urban and university planning should be coordinated and the infrastructure construction should be promoted in an orderly manner to meet the criterion of first-class universities. Second, the coordination between government, industry, universities and research institutes should be strengthened. Specifically, focus should be put on leading industries such as electronic information, biomedicine, new energy vehicles, and aerospace. Breakthroughs, key points, and focal points are to be identified to pool technological innovation resources. Efforts should also be increased to attract high-level talents and teams, and the construction of high-level scientific research platforms should be accelerated to build a new high-level university of science and engineering at an early date. Third, the guarantee and coordination of basic factors should be strengthened by refining the specific implementation plan, ensuring the accomplishment of our goals and tasks, coordinating land, funds and policies as well as improving the surrounding facilities to create a good environment for the construction of universities and provide solid support for building Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone into an international innovation talent center.
田海涛指出，筹建河南电子科技大学、郑州航空航天大学，是事关河南长远发展的战略举措、打造创新高地和重要人才中心的关键之举、满足人民群众对优质高等教育需求的务实之举。一要以前瞻三十年的眼光，对标一流大学建设理念，实施城校一体规划，有序推进基础设施建设。二要强化政产学研协同。聚焦电子信息、生物医药、新能源汽车、航空航天等主导产业，找准突破口、关键点、着力点，集聚科技创新资源，加大高层次人才和团队引进力度，加快高水平科研平台建设，早日建成新型高水平理工科大学。三要强化基础要素保障。细化项目推进方案，一件一件抓落实，一项一项抓兑现，做好土地、资金、政策等保障工作，完善周边配套设施，为高校建设营造良好的发展环境，为打造国际创新人才中心提供坚实支撑。
