A temple fair kicked off at the Taihao Masoleum on March 11 in Huaiyang district of Zhoukou city, Central China's Henan province. The event is a traditional Chinese folk activity and is held annually from the second day of the second month to the third day of the third month on the Chinese lunar calendar. This grand millennium-old temple fair, which once welcomed a staggering 825,000 visitors in a single day, was recorded in the Guinness World Records and has become one of the largest folk temple fairs in China. This year, in addition to the temple fair, Zhoukou City hosted the first Fuxi Cultural Tourism Festival, offering visitors the opportunity to not only immerse themselves in the charm of the traditional temple fair but also delight in a splendid showcase of intangible cultural heritage.
