On April 22nd, under the active promotion of the Henan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Launching Ceremony of the Folk Culture Exchange between China (Luoyang) and Korea (Jeju), jointly hosted by the Luoyang Cultural Relics Bureau and the Korean Folklore Society, was held at the Luoyang Folk Museum.
Folk culture is a unique combination of tradition and history that serves as a carrier for the inheritance of distinctive folk customs. By organizing this event and relying on the integration and mutual learning of cultural heritages from both sides, the aim is to further deepen mutual understanding between the peoples of both countries, enrich the content of cultural exchanges, and infuse vitality into peace and prosperity in both countries and the Northeast Asian region.
During the event, the Luoyang Folk Museum and the Korean Folklore Society signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Folk Culture Exchange. Next, the two sides will carry out practical cooperation in areas such as folk culture exhibitions, cultural heritage protection, archaeological research and academic exchanges.
