Henan witness a robust growth in traffic flow during May Day holiday
“五一”河南省交通客流强劲增长
During the past 5-day May Day holiday, Henan witnessed a robust growth momentum in the passenger flow not only by road and rail, but also by water and air, thanks to the superimposed effect of different tourist groups.
“五一”假期，探亲流、旅游流、学生流叠加，河南省公路、铁路、水路、民航客流呈现强劲增长态势，运输安全平稳有序。
As for road transport, 15.2532 million trips were made by highways in Henan, an increase of 32.65 percent and 5.24 percent over 2019 and 2023 respectively. It is estimated that 582 million yuan of tolls were exempted for minibuses during the May Day holiday. The peak highway traffic flow (3.6977 million) fell on the first day of the holiday, up 24.15 percent year on year.
公路方面，河南省高速公路车辆总流量约为1525.32万辆，与2019年同期相比增长32.65%，与2023年同期相比增长5.24%，估算免收小型客车通行费5.82亿元。其中，假期首日高速公路车流量369.77万辆，与2023年同期相比增长24.15%，创历史新高。
As for water transport, 3,249 water trips were made in Henan during the May Day holiday, providing service for 306.7 thousand people, up 8.88 percent year on year.
水运方面，河南省水路运输实际投入运力3249艘次，完成客运量30.67万人次，与2023年同期相比增长8.88%。
The number of rail passengers remained high. On the last day of the May Day holiday, 914 high-speed trains, 354 regular trains and 65 temporary trains were launched by China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group, carrying 832 thousand passengers.
铁路客流持续保持高位运行。5月5日假期最后一天，国铁集团郑州局发送旅客83.2万人次，开行旅客列车1268趟（高铁914趟、普速354趟），加开临客列车65趟。
As for civil aviation, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport handled nearly 400 thousand passengers during the May Day holiday, showing a growth trend. Popular routes include those to Kunming, Harbin, Hangzhou, Shenyang, Fuzhou, Urumqi, Chengdu, etc. Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport handled more than 3 thousand inbound and outbound flights during the holiday, with an average of over 600 flights per day. The first day and last day witnessed more flights, with over 630 respectively.
民航方面，广大旅客乘机出行意愿升温，郑州机场“五一”假期完成客运量近40万人次。其中，郑州飞往昆明、哈尔滨、杭州、沈阳、福州、乌鲁木齐、成都等地的航线较为热门，郑州机场共保障进出港航班超3000架次，日均执行进出港航班超600架次，其中假期第一天和最后一天的进出港航班量较多，均为630余架次。（中文来源/河南日报 记者/郭北晨 编译/杨佳欣 实习生/邱昌琪 审校/张军平）
