小满是中国传统二十四节气中的第八个节气，也是夏季的第二个节气。它的到来预示着南方的降水开始频繁，江河渐满，而北方的小麦则进入灌浆期，籽粒渐满。
The Grain Buds is the 8th of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms and the 2nd in the summer. The arrival of this solar term indicates more frequent rain in the south of China, therefore, rivers gradually become full. Meanwhile, wheat in the north of China enters the filling period and the seeds are gradually full.
“小满”这一节气名称不仅紧扣农耕文明，还蕴含着中国古老的人生哲理：满招损、谦受益，人们在生活中的为人处世也应像这一时节的小麦一般，满而不盈，恰到好处。
The Chinese name of the Grain Buds not only bears close relationship with agriculture civilization, but also contains philosophy of ancient life in China: One loses by pride and gains by modesty.
