Henan's electric vehicle exports up 69.6 percent y-o-y in Jan-Apr

In March 2024, 250 Yutong E12 pure electric buses were exported to Athens and Thessaloniki of Greece. Nowadays, these eco-friendly and comfortable electric buses have been providing services for the local residents.

今年3月，250辆宇通E12纯电动公交车陆续出口至希腊雅典和塞萨洛尼基。如今，当地居民已乘坐着环保、舒适的电动公交车在城市中自由穿行。

In the first four months of 2024, electric vehicles contributed 2.68 billion yuan to Henan's foreign trade, a year-on-year increase of 69.6 percent, injecting new momentum into Henan's foreign trade development, according to the data from Zhengzhou Customson May 19.

5月19日，记者从郑州海关获悉，在河南今年前4个月外贸进出口中，电动汽车表现亮眼，出口达26.8亿元，同比增长69.6%，为河南外贸发展注入新动能。

"The new energy buses exported to Greece are customized for the local market, with internationally leading capacity in terms of range and comfort, also a milestone in the European market in terms of quantity," said a representative from the Zhengzhou-based Yutong Bus Group. From January to March of 2024, about 2,600 Yutong buses were exported, with a remarkable 92 percent year-on-year increase. Henan-made electric vehicles, thanks to their superior performance and cost effectiveness, have earned their reputations in overseas markets. In recent years, continuous technological advancements have allowed Yutong to excel in safety, energy conservation, and environmental protection. With a comprehensive portfolio that includes pure electric buses, hybrid buses and hydrogen fuel cell technology, Yutong is leading the field of new energy buses.

“我们这批出口希腊的新能源客车是专门为当地市场定制的，续航能力和舒适度均国际领先，这笔订单创下宇通在欧洲市场最大批量新能源客车纪录。”宇通客车相关负责人介绍，今年前3个月，宇通客车出口海外约2600辆，同比增长92%。河南电动车凭借性能和性价比优势，在海外市场口碑越来越好。通过近年来持续的技术革新，宇通客车在安全、节能、环保等方面表现突出，凭借对纯电动、混合动力、氢燃料电池技术的深入布局，实现新能源领域的换道超车。

The popularity of Henan-made electric vehicles overseas vividly demonstrates Henan's accelerated efforts in building a strong manufacturing province. Significant progress includes the commencement of operations at the Zhengzhou BYD plant last year, the launch of new vehicles from the SAIC Zhengzhou plant (Phase II), and the rapid construction of the Zhongzhou Era new energy battery production base. The new energy vehicle industry, as a key advantageous industrial cluster in Henan, has formed a complete industrial chain covering raw materials, core components, complete vehicles and supporting facilities. This solid foundation positions Henan's new energy vehicles to expand into global markets successfully.
