Over 80 percent of wheat harvested in Henan

As of June 3, Central China's Henan has harvested 69.82 million mu (1 mu equals about 666 square meters) of wheat, accounting for about 81.9 percent of the province's total acreage, said a source from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province. On that day, 84,000 combine harvesters were deployed, harvesting 6.51 million mu of wheat. Summer growing is also in progress orderly. As of June 3, Henan's summer growing has reached 40.254 million mu, accounting for 44.7 percent of the planned area.
