China Railway Express freight train (Zhengzhou) expands network crossing Caspian and Black Seas

中欧班列（郑州）南通道“跨两海”线路开通运行

At around 3:00 PM on July 10, a China Railway Express freight train commenced its journey from the CR Intermodal Zhengzhou Terminal in Central China's Henan province. The train loaded with 52 containers carrying automotive parts, tires, electronics, and other commodities.

7月10日15时许，一趟中欧班列（郑州）满载52个集装箱的汽车配件、轮胎、电器等货物，从中铁联集郑州中心站缓缓驶出。

This freight train set off on a new journey, marking the launch of the Southern Corridor for the China Railway Express freight train service from Zhengzhou, a route renowned as the "crossing two seas".

这趟班列踏上的是一条新征程，标志着中欧班列（郑州）南通道“跨两海”线路开通运行。

In detail, the train is set to depart China via the Khorgos port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, traversing countries including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia, before reaching its final destination in Istanbul, Turkiye. Notably, this route utilizes a rail-sea intermodal transport method, involving two transfers onto ships to cross the Caspian and Black Seas. This route will operate on a regularly schedule with one train departing weekly. The adoption of customs policies, such as "pre-declaration for export" and "rapid railway clearance", is anticipated to improve customs efficiency and reduce logistics costs.

据介绍，此趟班列将经由霍尔果斯口岸出境，途经哈萨克斯坦、阿塞拜疆、格鲁吉亚等国家，先后两次换乘轮船跨越里海、黑海，通过铁水联运方式最终抵达土耳其伊斯坦布尔。该线路将实现每周一班常态化稳定开行，并且通过利用“出口提前申报”“铁路快速通关”等海关政策，提高通关效率、降低物流成本。

Since January, Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Company, a division of Henan Zhongyu International Port Group, has collaborated with customs, railway and other departments to strengthen the international logistics network for the China Railway Express freight train service from Zhengzhou. That effort has led to the addition of 4 new direct destinations: Belgrade in Serbia, Herleen in Netherlands, Baku in Azerbaijan, and Istanbul in Turkiye. In late April, the Zhengzhou-Baku route, crossing the Caspian Sea, opened for the first time. Up to now, it has transported a total of 422 containers, laying a solid foundation for the ongoing expansion the Southern Corridor.

今年以来，河南中豫国际港务集团郑州国际陆港公司与海关、铁路等部门密切配合，不断完善中欧班列（郑州）国际物流网络布局，新增塞尔维亚贝尔格莱德、荷兰赫伦、阿塞拜疆巴库、土耳其伊斯坦布尔4个直达站点。4月底郑州至巴库“跨里海”线路首次开通并常态化运行，截至目前已累计发运货物422标箱，为南通道“跨两海”线路的顺利开通奠定了坚实基础。（中文来源/河南日报 记者/王延辉 郭北晨 胡舒彤 编译/杨佳欣 张雅涵 审校/丁岚 赵汉青）
