China's efforts to further deepen reform comprehensively will provide strong impetus and institutional support for Chinese modernization and lead to a more prosperous future for global development as the country reinforces reform through opening-up, participants at a symposium said on Tuesday.

The symposium, titled "Hong Ting Forum: Understanding the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China", was jointly hosted by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee and Xinhua News Agency at the Museum of the Communist Party of China in Beijing.

The event, which followed the conclusion of the third plenary session last month, attracted diplomatic envoys, think tank employees and journalists from more than 60 countries.

Speaking at the forum, Wang Junwei, chairman of the Academic and Editorial Council of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, said that China has given its answer to the international community's question of whether the nation, as one of the main engines of global economic growth, will remain open to the rest of the world.

As China continues to enhance its capacity for opening-up while expanding international cooperation and develop new institutions for a higher-standard open economy, "it will provide more market, investment, growth and cooperation opportunities for all countries in the world, add impetus to global economic recovery and growth, and contribute Chinese insight, input and strength to global development", Wang said.

Aldonov Frankeko Alvarez, El Salvador's ambassador to China, said that in the three years since his arrival in China, he has witnessed the nation's high-quality development in most of its regions, its great leadership and the success of the policies implemented under the philosophy of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

"I am sure that these decisions that have been taken are the right ones to achieve the objectives of this great country, and we will continue to work shoulder to shoulder to strengthen our bonds of friendship," he said, adding that the Central American nation appreciates China's reforms, which will bring a win-win scenario for the two countries.

A think tank report titled "Deepening Reform Comprehensively to Advance Chinese Modernization: Major Achievements and Global Contributions" was also unveiled at the symposium.

Fu Hua, president of Xinhua, said, "Using typical cases, vivid language, detailed data and lively details, the report analyzes and interprets the six major principles guiding further deepening reform comprehensively, thus revealing the success code for the steady and long-term progress of China's reform and opening-up."
