In Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone of Henan, a "war for talent" between two Fortune Global 500 companies has quietly begun and has now reached fever pitch.

在河南郑州航空港区，一场两家世界500强企业之间展开的“抢人大战”悄然打响，目前已进入“白热化”阶段。

On August 20, BYD, a Fortune Global 500 company listed in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, posted a recruitment announcement on the public WeChat account of "Henan Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone" that its Zhengzhou production base is recruiting 10,000 operators. The company offers free accommodation in 4-6 person rooms with a monthly meal allowance of 150 yuan and covers social insurances and housing fund contributions.

8月20日，在香港和深圳两地上市的世界500强企业比亚迪在“河南郑州航空港发布”公众号发布招聘公告，比亚迪郑州生产基地公开招聘10000名操作工，免费提供4-6人间住宿，每月发放餐补150元，缴纳五险一金。

The positions offer a maximum monthly salary of up to 9,000 yuan, while skilled roles such as forklift operators and fitters can earn over 10,000 yuan per month. Once the recruitment announcement was released, it quickly drew widespread attention from all sectors of society. A large number of operators flocked to the BYD recruitment center located on "BYD Road" in Zhengzhou to apply for the positions.

Meanwhile, in North Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, the recruitment at another Fortune Global 500 company, Foxconn, is also extremely "hot."

而在北港，另一家世界500强企业富士康的招聘形势也相当“火爆”。

Foxconn Zhengzhou Technology Park, through the recruitment public WeChat account "Zhengzhou Foxconn Recruitment," has been continuously posting "highest annual rates" for job openings since early August. The announcement states that " Foxconn Zhengzhou recruitment has entered the peak season and the hourly wage is currently at its highest for the year." The high hourly wage will last until October 31, with the average monthly income for general workers ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 yuan.

富士康郑州科技园通过招聘公众号“郑州富工联招聘”，从8月初连续发布“全年最高价”招聘信息，称“郑州富士康招聘已进入旺季冲刺阶段，目前工价已是全年最高价”，小时工高价持续到10月31日，普工综合月收入为5000-7000元。

To properly accommodate the large number of employees recruited during the peak season, Zhengzhou Foxconn has comprehensively upgraded and renovated its employee dormitories with rooms for 8 persons reduced for 6, and fully updated the furniture, appliances, and public facilities. According to reports, tens of thousands of employees have already "poured into" Zhengzhou Foxconn this month, while the company continues to step up hiring.

As BYD's largest vehicle manufacturing base by contiguous area, Zhengzhou BYD is capable of manufacturing core components across the entire industry chain. Currently, it can roll off a new energy vehicle in less than 1 minute and produce a power battery cell in just 30 seconds. In 2023, with the production reaching over 200 thousand new energy vehicles, it has generated a revenue exceeding 30 billion yuan in less than 9 months. This year, BYD's new models have been selling like hot cakes, encouraging the company to launch new production lines, creating a pressing need for a large number of workers.

作为比亚迪目前连片面积最大的整车基地，郑州比亚迪可进行全产业链核心环节的生产制造，目前不到一分钟就能下线一台新能源车，30 秒就能下线一支动力电池电芯。2023年，郑州比亚迪用不到9个月的时间，生产新能源汽车超20万辆，创造产值超300亿元。今年以来，比亚迪新车型上市热销，郑州比亚迪即将上马新的生产线，急需大量产线工人。

Zhengzhou Foxconn is one of the world's largest smart device production bases. Since its establishment in Henan, it has consistently set new records for production value, achieving "twelve consecutive increases." Recently, the provincial government and Foxconn signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Zhengzhou, supporting the construction of its new business headquarters here. Foxconn will accelerate the implementation of projects such as new energy vehicle manufacturing, energy storage batteries, digital healthcare, and robot industry bases. The company will focus on Henan to build a global high-end manufacturing industry chain and a strategic emerging industry ecosystem.

郑州富士康则是全球最大的智能终端生产基地之一，入驻河南以来产值接连创下新高，实现“十二连增”。前不久，省政府与富士康在郑州签署战略合作协议，支持富士康在郑州建设富士康新事业总部。富士康将加快推动新能源汽车整车、储能电池、数字医疗和机器人产业基地等项目落地实施，聚焦河南，打造全球高端制造产业链和战略性新兴产业生态圈。

Both mega factories are in urgent need of a large workforce. Besides, the "war for talent" are in full swing in the projects for new quality productive forces.

两大超级工厂急需大量人力资源，与此同时，还不断有新的新质生产力项目在陆续加入这场“抢人大战”。

According to reports, in the first half of this year, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone achieved a regional GDP of 77.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.5 percent. The growth rate continues to be a bellwether, with the overall economy maintaining a rapid development momentum. Various major functional zones are experiencing dynamic growth, and more super projects are "on the way." It is anticipated that the "war for talent" in Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone will continue to heat up.
