The first World Conference of Classics will be held in Beijing from Nov. 6 to 8, 2024.
The theme of the event is Classical Civilizations and the Modern World. It seeks to trace the origins of human thought, distill wisdom from human history, and explore the traditions of human civilization from the perspective of classical studies.
From November 3 to 5, a number of the conference participants will embark on a journey through Central China's Henan province.
They will marvel at the grandeur of the ancient city walls dating back to the Shang Dynasty in Zhengzhou, appreciate the captivating smile of the "Eastern Mona Lisa" in Luoyang, and explore the ancient scripts of oracle bone inscriptions in Anyang.
Located in Central China, Henan is recognized as an important origin of the Chinese nation and civilization.
Rich in historical and cultural treasures, Henan serves as the foundation of Chinese civilization, providing a wealth of resources for the study of classical Chinese culture. (Zhou Jinmiao & Han Yusong)
