Sales of key retail and catering enterprises in Henan up 8% during Spring Festival
春节消费市场活跃业态向新 河南省重点监测企业销售额增长8%
According to the Department of Commerce of Henan Province on February 4, during the eight-day Spring Festival holiday, the sales of key retail and catering enterprises across Henan increased by 8.0 percent year-on-year to 2.92 billion yuan. Henan's consumer market saw a significant uptick compared to previous years, setting a positive tone for economic growth in the new year.
2月4日,记者从河南省商务厅获悉,今年春节假期,全省重点监测的零售和餐饮企业累计实现销售总额29.2亿元,同比增长8.0%,消费市场热度较往年明显上升,为全年经济发展开了个好头。
The tourism and hospitality sectors also experienced a boom during the festival. According to Trip.com data, Kaifeng surged to the top as the No.1 city in China for experiencing the festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, Zhengzhou and Luoyang performed remarkably well in inbound tourism and ice and snow tourism, respectively. County-level tourism has gained popularity among the post-2000 generation. According to Meituan Travel data, Luanchuan, Yichuan and Xiuwu ranked among the top 10 county-level destinations during the holiday.

"The revenue of Henan's hospitality sector saw a year-on-year increase during the holiday, with the occupancy rate of mid-to-high-end hotels in tourist cities exceeding 95%," said a staff member from the Catering and Hospitality Industry Association of Henan.
