New Zhengzhou-Urumqi freight train route launched

“陆上丝绸之路”再添新动脉

首班郑州—乌鲁木齐省际合作班列成功开行

On the afternoon of March 12, with a resounding whistle, a China Railway Express freight train carrying 50 containers departed from the CR Intermodal Zhengzhou Terminal in Central China's Henan province, bound for Urumqi, the capital of Northwest China's Xinjiang autonomous region.

3月12日下午，伴随着响彻云霄的汽笛声，一列装载50组集装箱的中欧班列从郑州铁路集装箱中心站缓缓驶出，将于不久后到达新疆乌鲁木齐西站。

This marks the first interprovincial freight train service from Henan to Xinjiang, carrying a full load of automotive parts, tires, freezers, radiator water tanks, and other goods. Upon reaching Urumqi West Station, the cargo will be transferred to Xinjiang International Land Port Company for onward shipment to Central Asian cities, such as Tashkent and Almaty.

这是首趟河南至新疆的省际班列，满载着汽车零配件、轮胎、冰柜、水箱散热器等货物，经内贸铁路运输至乌鲁木齐西站后，将由新疆国际陆港公司接力并组织发往中亚塔什干、阿拉木图等城市。

The launch of the Zhengzhou-Urumqi interprovincial freight train service marks the  seamless integration of the China Railway Express hubs in Zhengzhou and Urumqi, creating a coordinated logistics model of "cargo consolidation in Central China and  border crossing via Xinjiang". In the near future, Zhongyu Port Group in Zhengzhou plans to initiate its first rail-road intermodal transport test, with goods being transported by rail to Kashgar in Xinjiang before continuing their journey to Central Asia via road.

据了解，此次“郑州—乌鲁木齐”省际班列的开行，实现了“郑州、乌鲁木齐”中欧班列双集结中心的“无缝衔接”，形成了“中原集货+新疆出境”的联动模式。近期，中豫港务集团还计划启动首票铁路联运测试，铁路至新疆喀什后转公路出境，驶向中亚地区。

A representative from Zhongyu Port Group stated that the company will further strengthen its cooperation and exchanges with both the government and businesses in Xinjiang. With the China-Europe Railway Express as the key driver, the company plans to implement two major initiatives: "Efficient Henan-Xinjiang Connectivity" and "Integrated Transport and Trade between Henan and Xinjiang".
