Henan's tourism sees strong growth during Qingming Festival

清明假期河南旅游热度居全国前列

With its rich cultural heritage and diverse attractions, Henan stood out in the national tourism market during the 3-day Qingming Festival holiday.

清明假期，河南凭借深厚的文化底蕴与丰富的旅游资源，在全国旅游市场中表现亮眼。

According to Trip.com data, Henan saw a 10% year-on-year increase in travel bookings and a 14% rise in hotel reservations during the Qingming Festival, ranking among the top provinces nationwide across multiple indicators.

携程数据显示，河南清明假期平台旅游订单量同比增长10%，酒店订单量同比增长14%，多项指标位居全国前列。

Zhengzhou saw a 37% rise in total travel bookings compared to the previous period, along with a 10% year-on-year rise in flight bookings. The top visitor sources were Beijing, Xinxiang, and Luoyang.

Luoyang is experiencing a boom in its peony economy, with travel bookings on major platforms doubling compared to the previous period. The 41st China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival has driven a 31% year-on-year increase in hotel bookings. Popular cultural attractions such as the Luoyang Museum and the Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital have seen a spike in visitors, while new cultural tourism experiences like the Sui-Tang Luoyang City are drawing in younger travelers, with Gen Z (born after 2000) accounting for 45% of the visitors.

牡丹经济引爆洛阳，洛阳旅游平台订单量环比激增100%。第41届中国洛阳牡丹文化节带动酒店订单量同比增长31%，洛阳博物馆、二里头夏都遗址博物馆等文化景区热度高涨，寻迹洛神赋、隋唐洛阳城等文旅新场景吸引年轻游客，“00后”占比达45%。

Kaifeng is embracing a cultural revival powered by Song Dynasty-themed tourism. During the Qingming Festival holiday, travel bookings to the city rose by 29% year-on-year, hotel reservations were up 37%, and ticket sales increased by 25%. The Millennium City Park , also known as the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, saw a 25% jump in ticket bookings after the launch of a "Back to the Song Dynasty" event , attracting a total of  330,000 visitors. Meanwhile, Wansui Mountain Kungfu Theme Park drew over 30,000 visitors in a single day with its immersive live-action martial arts performances.

宋文化IP激活开封，开封旅游平台订单量同比增长29%，酒店订单量同比增长37%，门票订单量同比增长25%。清明上河园推出“宋潮穿越”主题活动，景区门票平台订单量同比增长25%，共接待游客33万人次。万岁山武侠城推出实景武侠剧演出，单日接待量突破3万人次。

According to the 2025 Qingming Holiday Travel Report released by Fliggy, per capita tourism spending in Henan increased by 11.6% year-on-year, while per capita bookings rose by 2.5%. Hotel reservations in the province saw double-digit growth, with car rentals and local entertainment bookings also experiencing significant increases. Meanwhile, outbound flight bookings by Henan travelers jumped 40% compared to the same period last year. Major source markets for tourism to Henan included Jiangsu, Beijing, Shandong, Shanghai, and Shaanxi.

飞猪发布的《2025清明假期出游快报》显示，河南省旅游人均支付金额同比增长11.6%，人均预订量同比增长2.5%。河南的酒店订单量同比呈两位数增长，租车、本地玩乐等订单量也同比大幅增长。河南游客的出境游机票订单量同比增长40%。江苏、北京、山东、上海、陕西等成为河南旅游的热门客源地。

Beyond traditional spring outings and flower viewing, new experiential travel trends are quickly gaining popularity. Fliggy data shows that tea-picking tours saw a nearly 20% year-on-year increase in demand during the Qingming Festival, while tours featuring activities like bamboo shoot and wild vegetable foraging surged by 47% .

除传统的踏青、赏花以外，部分“旅行+新体验”正快速崛起。飞猪数据显示，清明假期采茶游热度同比增长近20%，包含挖笋、挖野菜体验在内的旅游热度同比增长47%。

In addition to the crowded mountaintops, even the villages were bustling with visitors. According to data from Trip.com, orders for rural tourism activities, such as tea garden toursin Xinyang and spring outings in the outskirts of Zhengzhou, soared by 239% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the occupancy rate of rural guesthouses around Kaifeng reached 90%.
