Baling Bridge Scenic Area
灞陵桥景区
The scenic area is composed of the Baling Bridge, a renowned historical site from the Three Kingdoms period, the Guan Yu Temple in Xuchang, and classical Chinese gardens. It covers an area of 162 mu( per mu equals to 666.67 square meters) and boasts profound cultural heritage. Steeped in legend, Baling Bridge is revered as the very spot where General Guan Yu, the iconic warrior of the Three Kingdoms, dramatically severed a robe gifted by Cao Cao—a symbolic act of loyalty to his sworn brother Liu Bei, immortalized in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. West of the bridge lies the Qing-dynasty Guan Yu Temple (built in 1689), Henan's only fully intact Qing-era architectural ensemble, where visitors encounter a rare shrine jointly honoring Guan Yu and Cao Cao. Amidst willow-draped courtyards and lotus ponds, tourists can immerse themselves in the culture of the Three Kingdoms period and trace historical relics here.
景区由三国胜迹灞陵桥、许昌关帝庙及古典园林建筑组成，占地 162 亩，文化底蕴丰厚。灞陵桥，相传为三国名将关羽辞曹挑袍处，从此名扬天下。桥西的关帝庙始建于清康熙二十八年，是河南省唯一保存完整的清代古建筑群。该景区环境优美，风景宜人，游客在此可沉浸式感受三国文化，追寻历史遗迹。
