Huagu, a Lushan colored porcelain waist drum embodying the spirit of resolute momentum

Huagu (the waist drum), a representative masterpiece of Lushan colored porcelain, symbolizes the spirit of getting things done in one go. The waist drum is an important traditional percussion instrument in ancient China. Known as the Jie drum during the Tang Dynasty, it was originally made of wood later developed into porcelain, with Lushan county in Henan province becoming its primary production center. The piece features a rugged form with a bold and expressive style. Its glaze is smooth and elegant, exuding a timeless beauty and an ancient charm.
