Kongque Kaiping, a Jiaotai porcelain vessel depicting a peacock in full display

Kongque Kaiping (Jiaotai porcelain vessel depicting a peacock in full display) is crafted from high-quality black and white kaolin clay sourced from the Dangyangyu village of Jiaozuo city, Central China's Henan province. Using the traditional Jiaotai technique of the Song Dynasty, thousands of fine black and white clay strips are meticulously twisted and woven, creating a pattern resembling a peacock with its tail fanned out. The overall form is both graceful and majestic, bringing the peacock to life with exquisite detail.
