Zhoukou Port posts growth in both cargo and TEU throughput in 2025
2025年周口港区吞吐量实现双增
Zhoukou Port saw steady growth in both cargo throughput and TEU volume in 2025, local authorities said on January 8. Throughout the year, Zhoukou Port handled 55.4 million tons of cargo, up 6.49 percent year on year, and processed 175,400 TEUs, marking an increase of 7.5 percent from the previous year. The growth has further enhanced the port's functions, injecting new vitality into regional logistics and economic development.
1月8日，记者从周口市港航管理局获悉，2025年周口港区货物与集装箱吞吐量双双实现稳增长，周口港区全年完成货物吞吐量5543.48万吨，同比增长6.49%；集装箱吞吐量17.54万标箱，同比增长7.5%。这意味着，周口港区的枢纽功能进一步增强，为区域物流畅通与经济发展注入新动能。
In recent years, Zhoukou Port has accelerated the development of a multimodal transport system, streamlined its logistics operations, and expanded inland cargo sources, further boosting its role in driving development in southeastern Henan and across the Central Plains. The strong performance of the container business underscores the port's continued efforts to optimize its transport structure toward standardization and operational efficiency.
