从咖啡树到咖啡杯，“豫咖”在世界串豆成链

On January 11th, in Bufumbo Village at the foot of Uganda's Wanale Hill, grower Gidudu Sulait bustled among the coffee trees. "I have an unprecedented expectation for the coffee bean harvest season this May".
1月11日，在乌干达 Wanale山丘脚下的Bufumbo村庄，种植户吉杜杜·苏莱特（Gidudu Sulait）在咖啡树间穿梭忙碌，“我对今年5月的咖啡豆产季充满前所未有的期待。”
His confidence stems from the achievements of Henan enterprises going global.
他的信心，源于豫企出海的成果。
The coffee tree leaves brushed by Gidudu's fingertips had just been sprayed with foliar fertilizer provided by Henan Loxowo Biological Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Loxowo). It was this product that led to a significant increase in yield and a 30% rise in the quality rate for Gidudu's 2.08-acre experimental field last year. What reassures Gidudu even more is that all the coffee beans from the experimental field have been purchased by Huichuan Industry Development (Henan) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Huichuan Industry") and processed into naturally aromatic freeze-dried coffee products sold globally.

The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly proposed the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. Henan, which does not produce coffee beans, is forging a complete industrial chain "from coffee tree to coffee cup", exploring a replicable and sustainable new path for China-Africa agricultural cooperation.
不产咖啡豆的河南，正凭借“从咖啡树到咖啡杯”的全产业链塑造，为中非农业合作探索一条可复制、可持续的新路径。
"The per capita annual coffee consumption in China is steadily increasing, and consumers are shifting from 'simply drinking' to 'valuing origin'," said Wang Shuiyong, chairman of Huichuan Industry. This judgment is based on his in-depth insight into the coffee industry. As the largest cold-brew freeze-dried coffee production base in China and the builder of Henan's first China-Africa coffee industry cooperation demonstration park, Huichuan Industry has integrated a complete industrial chain from roasting and cold brewing to freeze-drying. This high level of integration gives it unique advantages in China and the capability to penetrate global production regions.
“我国咖啡的人均年饮用数稳步提升，消费者正从‘单纯喝’转向‘看产地’。”汇川实业董事长王水永的这一判断，源于其对咖啡产业的深入洞察。作为全国最大的冷萃冻干咖啡生产基地及我省首个中非咖啡产业合作示范园的建设者，汇川实业整合了从烘焙、冷萃到冻干的完整产业链条。这种高集成度，使其在国内独具优势，具备了深入全球产区的实力。
For this reason, it was imperative for Huichuan Industry to link up with Uganda. Currently, Ugandan coffee beans are still a niche in China's domestic market, but they are recognized as premium beans by senior enthusiasts.
正因如此，汇川实业链接乌干达势在必行。目前，乌干达咖啡豆在国内市场虽尚属小众，却是资深爱好者公认的精品豆。
Last year, Huichuan Industry, in conjunction with China Henan International Cooperation Organization (CHICO), achieved direct supply of Ugandan coffee beans to Henan for the first time. However, problems emerged during production: these coffee beans varied in color, size, shape and quality, leading to unstable flavor of the finished products, which ran counter to the requirements of food industry standardization.
去年，汇川实业联合河南国际合作集团，首次实现了乌干达咖啡豆直供河南。然而，生产中发现的问题随之浮现：这些咖啡豆在颜色、大小、形状、品质上参差不齐，导致成品风味不稳定，与食品工业标准化的要求背道而驰。
How to break this deadlock? "Develop planting bases at the origin in Uganda and streamline the supply chain," Wang Shuiyong stated with conviction. Successful Henan enterprises going global such as Mixue Ice Cream & Tea have proven that only by mastering a mature and robust supply chain can one gain the right to define standards in global competition.
如何破局？“在乌干达原产地开拓种植基地，打通供应链。”王水永甚是笃定。蜜雪冰城等成功出海的豫企已经验证，唯有掌握成熟强大的供应链，才能在全球化竞争中掌握定义权。
"When I first visited Huichuan Industry the year before last, I saw a type of coffee bean divided into six grades in the exhibition hall. At that time, I thought that if the two enterprises joined forces, we could create a 'secret weapon' to improve the premium rate of African coffee beans and make the entire process from planting to production and processing of coffee beans traceable and standardized," said Li Jian, Head of Overseas Sales at Loxowo, whose idea also came from professional intuition gained from in-depth frontline experience.
“前年第一次参观汇川实业，我看到展厅里一种咖啡豆分6种等级，当时就在想，两家企业联合起来能打造‘秘密武器’，提高非洲咖啡豆的优品率，让咖啡豆从种植到生产加工全流程可溯源、标准化。”漯效王海外销售负责人李键的想法，也来自深耕一线的专业直觉。
From vegetable greenhouses in Shouguang, Shandong, to orchards in Hainan, Loxowo has long been accustomed to "formulating" customized solutions in biotechnology, water-soluble fertilizers, and microbial agents based on different soils and crops, helping farmers achieve increased income by "gaining the benefit of three mu of land by planting two mu" (mu: a traditional Chinese unit of area. 1 mu ≈ 666.67 square meters). As a national high-tech enterprise, Loxowo has also extended its experience to Africa, and its experimental field at Egerton University in Kenya has been recognized by local agricultural authorities.

"Although coffee beans are not native to China, Henan can still excel in the coffee industry," said Li Longwei, Chairman of Loxowo and an avid coffee lover. "Our company registered the 'Sike' coffee trademark as early as 2017. In recent years, Huichuan Industry has emerged as a new force in the cold-brew freeze-dried coffee track, which has sparked my new imagination for the coffee industry."
“虽然咖啡豆不是中国的原生品种，但咱河南也能做好咖啡产业。”漯效王董事长李龙伟是一位咖啡深度爱好者，“我们公司早在2017年就注册了‘思可’咖啡商标，汇川实业近两年在冷萃冻干咖啡新赛道上异军突起，勾起了我对咖啡产业的新想象。”
From Luohe to Puyang, Loxowo and Huichuan Industry forged a bond over coffee, joining hands to go global and cultivate this fertile soil.

Last April, the vision of these two Henan enterprises materialized into a six-acre experimental field in Uganda, with Gidudu's plot included. The full-cycle plan "customized" by the Henan team made Gidudu truly feel China's green technological capabilities and refined management capabilities: precise nutrition supplementation through foliar fertilizer enhanced the photosynthesis of coffee trees and improved their resistance to drought and pests; there is no worry any more about finding buyers, as the coffee beans had an order-based "recovery" mechanism.
去年4月，两家豫企的构想于乌干达化作了6英亩试验田，吉杜杜的田地正在其中。河南团队“定制”的全周期方案，让吉杜杜切实感受到来自中国的绿色科技能力、精细化管理能力：通过叶面肥精准补充营养，咖啡树的光合作用增强了，对抗干旱、病虫害的能力也增强了；不用再发愁怎么找买家，咖啡豆有了订单式“回收”。
"Last year, we took a small step, and this year, we will take a big one. We are determined to bring effective 'Henan experience' to Uganda and extend Gidudu's story on a broader scale," shared Wang Shuiyong and Li Longwei as their common vision.
“去年迈出一小步，今年要迈出一大步。我们决心为乌干达带去行之有效的‘河南经验’，让吉杜杜的故事在更大范围内续写。”这是王水永与李龙伟的共同愿景。
On January 9th, Huichuan Industry and Loxowo signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Puyang, agreeing to deepen and promote the joint coffee project in Uganda — upstream, they will root themselves in Ugandan fields, promoting organic planting techniques to enhance raw bean quality from the source; downstream, they will focus on deep processing and brand building, directly transforming origin flavors into market-preferred products, strengthening the defense line for food safety, and aligning with the upgrading trend of domestic coffee consumption.
1月9日，汇川实业与漯效王在濮阳签署战略合作备忘录，约定在乌干达深化推进咖啡联合项目——上游扎根乌干达田间地头，推广有机种植技术，从源头提升生豆品质；下游锁定精深加工与品牌打造，直接将产地风味转化为市场青睐的商品，筑牢食品安全防线，也顺应国内咖啡消费的升级浪潮。
January in Uganda is dry and warm, with sunlight always bathing Gidudu's coffee fields. On the other side of the globe, the same light shines on the orderly production lines in Henan's factories.
