Over the past 5 years, Henan has seen its ecological environment significantly improved with 20 thousand mu (one mu equals about 666 square meters) of mines restored and 14.075 million mu of land afforested. Besides, Henan has coordinated the comprehensive environment improvement of the Yellow River basin and completed the restoration of 25,000 mu of degraded or destroyed wetlands with the water quality of all its main streams reaching the national standard. The follow-up work of South-to-North Water Diversion Project (Central Route) has been launched with the water quality of Danjiangkou Reservoir and the Central Route's main stream remaining above the standard of National Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water (Class II).
过去5年，河南完成矿山生态修复72万亩，累计造林1407.5万亩，生态环境明显改善。同时，河南统筹推进黄河流域综合整治，完成湿地修复2.5万亩，干流水质稳定达标。除此之外，南水北调后续工程接续实施，丹江口库区及干渠水质稳定在Ⅱ类以上。

This year, Henan will promote the development of green cities, forest cities and waste-free cities, and strive to create more green communities. Besides, Henan will exert more efforts to prevent and control heavily polluted weather and ozone pollution, tackle black and stinky water bodies in built-up counties, and strive to achieve the full coverage of sewage treatment facilities in all towns. It is worth noting that Henan will carry out ecological protection and restoration projects in the eastern Qinling Mountains and other key areas, continue to protect wetlands and control soil erosion, and make comprehensive use of sediment resources in the main stream and tributaries of the Yellow River.
今年，河南将推动绿色城市、森林城市、“无废城市”建设，深入开展绿色社区创建行动。同时，加大重污染天气、臭氧污染防治等工作力度，实施县城建成区黑臭水体治理攻坚，完成乡镇污水处理设施全覆盖。除此之外，实施秦岭东段等重点区域生态保护和修复工程，持续开展湿地保护、水土流失治理，抓好黄河干支流河道泥沙资源化综合利用。（杨佳欣/出镜 何蒙贺/视频）
