Editor's note: The Report to the 20th CPC National Congress emphasizes intensifying efforts to transform China into a powerful agricultural country. Protecting national food security is one of Henan province's responsibilities, given that agriculture has long been its forte. The CPC Henan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Henan Province steadfastly adheres to a new concept of food security, implements the national food security strategy in depth, resolutely assumes the responsibility of ensuring national food security, and accelerates the construction of a strong province in modern agriculture in response to President Xi Jinping's important expositions on national food security. According to The Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and Vision 2035 of Henan Province, enriching rural economic formats is one of the effective ways to build Henan into a strong province in modern agriculture.
《河南省“十四五”规划和2035年远景目标纲要》中提到，丰富乡村经济业态将成为河南加快建设现代农业强省的重要途径之一。
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Henan will speed up the development of the green food industry, make excellent flour, meat, oil and fat products, expand dairy products and make characteristic fruit and vegetable products. At the same time, Henan will guide processing enterprises of agricultural products in their development at the county level, advance primary processing, intensive processing and comprehensive utilization of by-products, and build an integrated scientific research base and agricultural product processing zone characterized by technology.
“十四五”期间，河南将加快发展绿色食品业，做优面制品，做强肉制品，做精油脂制品，做大乳制品，做特果蔬制品。同时，引导农产品加工企业向县域布局，发展产地初加工、精深加工和副产物综合利用，建设特色农产品加工技术集成科研基地和农产品加工园。

Besides, Henan will promote the in-depth integration of agriculture with leisure tourism, cultural experiences and health care, accelerate the development of urban ecological agriculture and agriculture supported by modern facilities, develop the economy by taking advantage of gully regions and woods, develop characteristic industries according to local conditions, accelerate the development of rural e-commerce, and improve the storage and preservation of agricultural products and cold chain logistics system. At the same time, Henan will build model areas and pastoral complexes for the integrated development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries, promote the building of advantageous and characteristic industrial clusters, modern agricultural industrial parks and strong agricultural towns, and build a model area for agricultural modernization.
此外，河南还将推动农业与休闲旅游、文化体验、健康养老等深度融合，加快发展都市生态农业和现代设施农业，因地制宜发展沟域经济、林下经济和乡土特色产业，加快发展农村电子商务，完善农产品仓储保鲜和冷链物流体系。同时，建设农村一二三产业融合发展示范区和田园综合体，推进优势特色产业集群、现代农业产业园和农业产业强镇建设，打造农业现代化示范区。
It is worth noting that Henan will also improve the interest linkage mechanism between agricultural enterprises, develop the union for agricultural industrialization, and promote the value-added benefits of the industrial chain to be shared by farmers.
